I'd experience this earthquake, when I lived at Tochigi pref. (about 100 kirometers from Sendai.)

That earthquake disturbed me so much that I cried for weeks. I could not live in a place that is so active with earthquakes. It has to be terrifying for these people.

In Japan during earthquakes, it's safer to stay inside the building than outside unlike in other countries 😉. Amazing, their buildings are dependable/earthquake proof! If it weren't for that destructive tsunami, maybe no lives were lost then.

Thats bad, but nothing like the footage inside the airport in Sendai... being that it was the closest to the epicenter of the earthquake, that footage is unbelievable.. then of course the video continues with the tsunami flooding the airport as it made its way inland.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5yZaZWQbJVkqZI

Hey charles910, do you have an email address at which we could contact you regarding this video? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible? (i.e. via email) :) Cheers, Felix

Dang all of that super yummy food just left on the table!! 😞 I'm glad you shared this with everyone because this proves what excellent buildings they have in Japan! The engineers are awesome! Always stay calm and never ever panic!! 😉
I live in Saint Charles Missouri and I’m 53 years old and in all those years we’ve had like to tremors both registered maybe around three on the Richter scale. I cannot imagine what it must be like to live on the east coast of Japan.
