Very helpful guide on how to do the Tek Cave and Overseer! I've never done the fight in ASE or ASA, but I've always wanted to try. I play by myself on my own dedicated server and have always been scared of botching trying to get everything through the door or having most of the dinos yeet themselves into the lava. I recently decided that I can back up the save right before putting the tributes in the terminal to take away enough pressure and stress to feel ok about giving it a go. I think I will go with your approach except I will also bring a small gang of nimble creatures like yutys and theris to follow the carchar on passive. If they die, they die, but if some live they will make the Overseer fight a bit shorter. I don't think I have the extraordinary patience you do. Haha! Anything that survives will help keep my fingers from being permanently cramped after the fight. As an aside, your carchar is absolutely beautiful! Wish I had a nicely coloured one. Mine are all snot green with orange dots and some sort of brownish beige belly. :(

Great guide - managed to get the Bary all the way down the same way as your wolf - just jumping around the side of the first Tree blockage - but staying on the same route. Also came back the same way but couldnt jump around the side to Cryo'd the Bary just at that late stage - no Wild creatures had spawned just ran the exit room with the glowing red Tall mushrooms - hope that helps. :)

Thylo is definitely overkill for gatekeeper cave. I would guess they are being raised in the trophy room to farm golem. A decent thylo can kill them relatively quickly, and then you can harvest the resources. It's the only reason I'd raise one for this cave.

I highly recommend getting a decent level vulture. One of the best early tames to have on Scorched Earth. Their inventory acts as a fridge for raw meats. The catch is that you need to let it harvest the bodies. Best way to meat tame, makes prime and mutton last like on the island. And it only eats spoiled meat.

The good: I was able to use the info you provided to succeed this cave on my 2nd try. Bary never went below 80% health. The bad: My first attempt using this method was a catastrophe because I, uh, accidentally had my auto inventory manager throwing away rare flowers. DOH!!

Watching your videos always makes me want to jump into ark and play but then I remember I had too many other games to play right now

the cavern of lost hope in asa on the island is now near impossible to do solo and any Dino? Because of the high level high level xiphactinus swarms I have lost 3 Basi all with over 60k hp and over 600 mele. Mind you I only went in with one Basi at a time which is how I used to clear the cave solo in ASE. I just started playing ASA a few months ago, and I am beginning to wonder how in the world I can do the caverns of lost Hope solo? Anyone have some ideas?

Can you use crypod inside thé cave?

It sounds brutal but always carry a torch when in the swamp or swamp cave, a quick hit for each leech attached instantly cleans them off your tame. Does anyone know if the solo mask bug is still working? I wear full armor with mask and its an instant destroy from arthro, I'll do a personal test in a week or so. I'll personally update my own question by then. Thanks for the tour of swamp cave!

Had no idea about the rare flowers thing great tip and video really detailed on a Barry to I love them and plan on making a small army to take in there with me mines all got 1100% melee and 18k hp, can put more or less into either stat if needed, I mostly see people cheese this cave today with grapples but on my official it’s so laggy it’s not really possible..

I cant seem to do the jump up to the artifact has it been patched?

Sorry if i have asked this before or if i have just thought about it. I've wanted to play on official servers for some time now since i have basically only played singe player for 4 years, but i'm scared of being griefed or if my progres will be gone to some bug that i can't control. What's your experience on official? (PvE)

Someone on my official PVE server seems to have glitched the spawns with boats and sabercats and nothing in the cave spawns until after the drop at 27:20 Wish I watched this video beforehand though lol I wanted to go in blind the first time but I went around the corner from that drop and my pyromane got stuck inside some bears and it went boom, at least I can loot the cave before the enemies spawn.

Authro's do a lot of reflect damage from your melee attacks. If you take a bary in bring a shotgun so you can shoot them off the bary's back.

Daft question are Pyros a legitimate strategy?
