I drove an international 9400 with an aluminum flatbed empty I was barely touching 30000 lbs, I druve a cement mixer truck now and loaded those things weigh 78 000 to sometimes going over 80 000, a double frame is a must and chunky tires are needed along with a buttload of permits to drive those things.

I've never smelled that smell but your description was very real okay when I hate about pilot flying j truck stops on the trucks the tracker s*** all over the stalls their nasty people very nasty and I'm talking white people to not just a hard cheese or the blacks or the Mexicans the white people do it too the season truck drivers are the worst to deal with they'll run you off the road and they think it's funny my pilot bows down to truck drivers because they will tell you that they're spending six to eight hundred dollars on a tank of fuel and that's not true they spent $300 at the most because they only pay $80 to $1.10 a gallon not many people realize that I was a truck driver I know what they're paying for fuel they're not paying that price it's on that time the price on that sign is for people with motorhomes and Diesel pickups it's not for truck drivers

Filling or emptying a propane tanker can very dangerous. In March 2003, in Newton, NJ, a faulty connection of a truck and yard supply tank blew up and it was a hot mess.

They can't give you a ticket for being overweight without weighing the unit. That shit wouldn't stand in court. They have to have a weight to calculate the overweight fine. I work for the same company you do, but in Maryland on the gas side. In 27 yrs. of trucking, I've never gotten an overweight ticket without being weighed.

I am the propane delivery driver. So sometimes, bulk delivery drivers would push propane into my tank without using vapor hose. That causes my pressure in bulk tank to go from 50ish psi to 120ish psi. So imagine me coming in with a bobtail, connecting to my liquid line, and as soon as I let it flow, it spins my pump at the speed of running pump 😂
@EddieV19Күн бұрын
😂ya that would do it I always connect my vapor especially if the winter because I need a min of 50-60PSI if pressure in my tank in order for me to load at the shipping facility at the pipeline

My 99 379 Cat 18spd with 321 rear gear has not lost yet. Good luck. Usually, your FDL loses power around 80 to 85 mph. BTW it's Peterbilt!!! Not Peterbuilt

From a HazMat responder perspective, do us all a favor and carry toilet seal wax rings and an inflatable kiddie pool on your ride for the unexpected tank puncture. Grab a hand full of the wax and cram it into the hole, it will provide a temporary plug that will last long enough to get a wrecker there with a transfer pump to offload.
@EddieV192 күн бұрын
That does sound like a good idea But flex tape is capable of doing the same thing if applied correctly

Too bad the driver doesn't know what a parking spot is. If I am incorrect he is parked in hash marks. BUT I will overlook that, I understand the parking shortage, which is why I WILL point this one out: why does he take 2 spots to park it? Anyway, a truck will only last according to how it's taken care of. Treat it like crap and don't maintain it, well, even your precious little Shaker there will be trouble

No way you your scale is off i'd go to a different cat scale because that one's off you should not weigh that much empty with an empty propane tank and I drive a 379 Peterbilt with 70 inch stand up sleeper

My propane tank is 11,600 gallons. I’m have a bigger tank than most propane guys. That’s why yours must be lower right because it’s less metal . Most guys run a 10,000 ish propane tank
