Awesome playing 🤘😆🤘! Cool tone. With the Seymour Duncans, can you get a Zakk Wylde tone like he had on the album "No More Tears" or would it be better to get a guitar with EMG's ? Thanks. I'm a beginner. I'm considering buying one of these guitars used.
@GuitarWithDofkaАй бұрын
I believe Zakk is an EMG guy and he tunes his guitar pretty low these days, maybe D standard then drop C. That also adds to the chug he gets. Best of luck on your tone journey 🤘

Awesome video. Does anyone know what happened to Tim's KZbin channel? He uploaded his incredible cover of Metal Church that I miss listening to.
@GuitarWithDofka3 ай бұрын
Wish I knew. His Facebook and KZbin disappeared at the same time. I played the solos on the Metal Church song for Tim. I’d love to hear it again as well.

I can see some of the beginnings of Steve moore doing his famous "this drummer is at the wrong gig" shenanigans, goofing off behind the drum kit.

GuitarWithDofka...Squier never made an NC series...that guitar is from the Bullet Series and it printed on the headstock...
@GuitarWithDofka4 ай бұрын
This most certainly is NC4 series. Google them, they are solid guitars.
@mark0068684 ай бұрын
@@GuitarWithDofka You are sadly mistaken...NC is just a serial number prefix and not a series...it denotes that it was made by Cor-Tek Corporation (Cort Guitars) in Seoul, Korea...Cor-Tek also produces instruments for many other companies. It also has factories in Indonesia and China....and your guitar is from the Bullet Series and it printed on the headstock...Squier guitars all have proper series names that have nothing to do with the serial number prefix...solid or not...
@kennethm.3803 ай бұрын
Do you always say things that are untrue? Of course they made them. Alder body, 22 frets, Rosewood fretboard. Made in China late 90’s. Full size. Swimming pool routing. You will probably never ever own one because you are a nitwit, dimwit or halfwit.
@jasondorsey71102 ай бұрын
@mark006868 Alot of this legacy stuff springs from the E serial number squiers coming out of japan in the mid-'80s...nowadays they're referred to as an "E series" squier when really they were just standard production...and there were proper mij fenders with the e- prefix, as well as some early korean squier specimens

I would load it with a DiMarzio Tone Zone or Super Distortion or Super 3, and if I wanted to be really extreme an X2N, although I find them a bit too much these days. I agree that the modern iteration of the Duncan Distortion ain't what it used to be. I've used them as well. The old ones were great. I don't know what they've done but they changed it and I don't dig that. I find DiMarzios way more consistent. On the issue of the Floyd, I'm not a fan of Floyds but if I were to use one I'd set it flush Eddie style so it can only dive. That really is the only way to stay in tune with a Floyd. Even with a higher end Floyd you still will eventually have issues with the fulcrum edges wearing and that will affect tuning stability in a floating position.
