Normally planes use engines to propel themselves forward fast enough so the wing “catches” more air under them and therefore creating lift. In this case the wind is strong enough to create lift without needing to be propelled forward there you remain still or move slightly backwards. I did this with my rc plane a lot when my propeller broke 🙂 hope this helped!
