OK, a #10, 1st sound mix is correct between music and voice, 2nd love a rifle with scope covers and sling, not some double over the shoulder pointed at the PH. More gems later if I find them. Grin.

Yes, yes, BUT you are clouding the issue with facts !! The various organizations need to tug at the heartstrings of the uninformed/ uneducated/ and over emotional so that these people can send money to these organizations.

Unassailable FACT: Once you put a price on each animal, it then becomes someone's livliehood and employment. This basic economic driver ensures the ongoing protection and management of wild specie populations for future generations. NO other game management strategy has ever been as successful as this basic fact. QED!!

Man has been hunting for thousands of years, why does it only bother people now?
@m.hamzakhalid2943
@m.hamzakhalid2943 6 күн бұрын
@@AfricanSafariFilms Because for thousands of years it has been for mankind survival, not for trophy hunting and fun! This trophy hunting has already wiped out several species and subspecies of animals, and still you folks don't learn!
@AfricanSafariFilms
@AfricanSafariFilms 5 күн бұрын
@@m.hamzakhalid2943 nonsense, trophy hunting has saved the rhino. If the rhino had no value then no one would want them on their land and kill them off and replace them with something that has value. Don’t be stupid, if you love avocado would you go to an apple place to shop? NO, so you go to a place that sells avo, if no one wants to pay for avo then the farmers would stop farming avo and start apple. Same with wildlife

I really appreciate the gun safety and muzzle awareness of the hunter, Jason. And I'm sure the PH (Martin?) and the trackers appreciated it as well. Those are some great animals and enjoyable hunting. Thanks for posting this video.

Does hunting really pay for conservation?
@AfricanSafariFilms
@AfricanSafariFilms 10 күн бұрын
100% yes, the money for these animals goes towards looking after them. As they have a value people will keep breeding and looking after them. If no one wanted to pay for any animal, then landowners would kill everything on their land and put cattle as they need an income

Another SURPERB calibre is the 9.3x62. All DG hunting in Africa is with a PH, so with that condition, it has excellent accuracy and straight line penetration, and IMO, it's a better "client" calibre than the 375HH since it has much less recoil (an advantage for those small-framed people/ladies and those who are recoil shy). My last cape buff was taken with my 9.3x62 as a one shot kill. Projectile entered right front shoulder and was found by the rear left rib - that's about 4' of straight line penetration!! Perfect!! Kevin Robertson has a 9.3x62 for use by clients - he stated that rife has taken over 600 cape buffalo!! Proof enough for the 9.3x62!! 👍

Bravo 👏 👏 👏. I was going to comment, but you succinctly stated what I was going text. I have sold off my .375 because I am happy with the 9.3x62 and I also use the .416 (elephant).

@martinstiastny7679 If I had my choice of firearm again, I'd probably get a .416 Rigby - a lovely calibre for DG and the larger PG. I've aken most of my DG with my 458 Win Mag. I'm currently organising my next DG hunt: ele, buff, and hippo - with a selection of PG as well. 👍

There is nothing contraversial about hunting. If there is then photographic safaris are just as contraversial with the carbon footprint of the millions of tourists which poison the ecosystems globally. Otherwise all is true

Also, consider this: - hunters provide a FREE anti-poaching patrol in areas inaccessible to tourists, - ALL the meat obtained is given FREE to local impoverished communities (remember this is their ONLY legal source of protein - as NO Social Security Benefits are paid in Africa) - hunting fees are used to build infrastructure and support services in these areas, - legal, controlled hunting is accepted - and proven to be - both the most effective game management strategy and INCREASES wild specie populations (go see "A conservationist's cry" here on YT). There is more game in Africa now, because of this strategy!! - uncontrolled illegal poaching (NOT legal hunting) is the biggest single threat to Africa's wildlife (human encroachment is the other). - poaching is nullified in areas where legal hunting is permitted (poachers becoming game managers protecting their local species) when they know they will get the meat FREE. - hunters ONLY select the old animals past their breeding. A poacher's snare is set, and silently vigilant 24/7 and doesn't discriminate on species, sex, or age - it just KILLS whatever it catches!! - hunters now pay US$23K to hunt ONE buffalo. PH Ivan Carter has a standing offer to all anti-hunters to be guided (like a hunter) to within 30m to photograph a big-bossed buffalo. NOT ONE anti-hunter has accepted the offer!! Miserly anti-hunting hypocrites!!

I would say eland. I have tasted American game. The best I tasted was elk but everything here tastes completely different. Our game has zero wild taste to it at all making it much easier to prepare. Eland is similar to beef but very lean
