This is so unrealistic. In real life Gemma would be laughing along and calling Shaun a ginger while hanging off the D of Flip. Then she would ask to borrow a fiver off of Shaun and kick him out a couple of minutes later, then buy vodka and spend the rest of the evening making babies with Flip while higgy sat downstairs watching TV and eating toast. The people shown here dont actually exist, it's just a classic case of this sad and common need that film makers have to portray everything as a rosy fairytale and ok. The original series of TIE, did NOT suffer from this problem

Not sure about that 😂 they’re hilarious & Flip does get his comeuppance, but he’s a bully and while it works in small doses, I’m not sure you can make a whole series about someone who’s meant to be unlikeable

@@andyb3666 I'm not so sure, I think you could make a show about them. Yes, he's a bully but they are both a pair of idiots. There were introduced as side characters to antagonise Shaun and get him to call Gemma a dog. They got more screen time in the final episodes buying drugs from Harvey and going to the rave. I think a show with them two could be hilarious, there are lots of shows with unlikable characters.

"I'll knock your fuckin' tooth out" is an underrated clever insult. Flip also seemed to know the chips were gobbed on. For all his vanity and ridiculous fake-hard posturing, he wasn't *that* stupid or dull-witted, just blinded by Ego and insecurity. So it's sad that TIE '90 flanderised his character so much. Higgy however really is hopelessly thick as two short planks, bless.
