Are the parts posted somewhere? This is exactly what I have been looking for for my pinion frame build. Why do I see a split in the seat stay on the drive side?

Cool build, but you could try it without the lower idler on the front. It will make it simpler, as well as increase front pulley teeth engagement with belt. But it is really a great idea, I may try to build something like that too

Because resistance is what someone running a (at least) 1000w rear hub motor cares for. Surely not about maintenance but bare efficiency

Great work! Did you try applying full torque at the cranks (while standing on pedals) to see if the plastic sprockets would survive? In theory they should, I guess, as 1000W power motors use plastic gears (but they are nylon and injection molded)
@Westloki2 ай бұрын
Yes, I did some good test on the crankset. The front sprocket and the rear one are in PETG at about 75% infill, and so far, they show no signs of cracking or premature wear. The only issue I have is that if I put a lot of tension, the belt sometimes skips a tooth. This happens because I couldn’t apply enough tension. The second version of this assembly will likely address this problem.

I thought a lot about your response, and I realize it’s actually quite clever. At first, I couldn’t see how to tighten the strap with your system, but after thinking about it, by moving the second bearing closer to the crankset, it could indeed create a tension . I’ll keep that in mind for a potential version 2 !
