Let me tell you this scene hits so much differently when you can truly relate to it on a deep level. I lost my wife about 5 years & know the pain he would've felt in that moment, holding her in his arm has she departed this world. Then in the aftermath when it just doesn't feel real in your mind, & it feels like you're just in a bad dream that you're waiting to wake up from.

I still cry to this song. It came on the radio the very minute my dog passed away. That very same day. This was the episode that played. I still break down each and every time.

Definitely a show before it’s time. A episodic fantasy series that should have been much more popular.

I have just watched this on KZbin for the first time today. Whenever I hear the song "Dust In The Wind" from the rock band Kansas, this is what I think of. Both these scenes and the song really get to me, even moving me to tears. I think of myself as not only having a strong, masculine side like the Duncan McCloud character but a soft, sensitive side, like the Teresa character, and whoever the blonde woman is that is lashing out and cursing and being held and reassured that he's not her enemy, "I'm not your enemy". Just wish someone could do the same thing for me, not only in my childhood and teens, but as an adult at 38 years old with no wife or kids, honestly👍😍🥰🤵♂️👩🙂🙏💒.

When this first aired in syndication in my area, Richie's resurrection at the murder scene was cut out to make way for commercials. The result was actually a far more satisfying shock to see him suddenly alive at the end. It's one of the few times I've been glad for the editorial butchery brought on by greed.

One of the most profound and sad endings in Highlander. I too watched all six seasons and now am revisiting the show watching all episodes back to back. Thanks so much for sharing this.

Alexandra Vandernoot wanted to spend more time with her family because the series was filmed half the year in Canada so she requested Tessa be written out. Due to the power of her relationship with Duncan, the writers felt the only way it could happen was by killing her off instead of just going off to Paris and leaving. The show really did take a more mature tone after her death.

A great series. Maligned by just an unabashed hatred the creators had for it. Even now, I do not understand The Source or any of that shit. Just end it with the uncut version of Highlander 4. I am just puzzled by the enmity.
