The actual brand released a video on proper cleaning. Use lukewarm eater and mild detergent. Don't soak it. Just use the soft side of a sponge and gently rub it with the mild detergent water mixture until the desired effect. Let it air dry. It's not supposed to be rinsed either, which is weird, but the og brand sais it, you should follow that. They are also supposed to be waxed when you see the white spots

Ok I have just washed mine in the washing machine using my usual detergent and fabric conditioner but before that I sprayed it with stain remover (vanish) on all the dirt patches. I just went for it :) and let it dry on the washing machine. It has come out brilliant and I have the same colour as your backpack. I am now sitting here re-waxing it with my hairdryer!
