He speaks vietnamese better than a lot of vietnamese born and raised in vietnam, especially gen z generation in south vietnam now who mimic northern accent so much

@@MAADberg yes ofc. I mean influence from social media and press, South Vietnamese youth now start to say "ạ" , "nhé ạ", "cốc", "dùng", “bố”, “nhỉ”, “bát”,… etc. And much many other unique Northern words that their Southern parents and grandparents don't ever speak. Most of them are influenced.

I love when foreigners indulge themselves in the culture they visit or live in. They say Tourism kills the city but when someone like him or Chris Lewis or Max Mcfarlin can speak the language and really understand the culture of Vietnam, it makes me happy that people like them visit our country. Especially with the Vietnamese language when there is 7/8 different tones.

Many Viets can look like whites cos they have deep set eyes. 45% can have pointy nose from Chinese, Indian etc

Holy, he speaks better Vietnamese than me. My father can also speak French and Vietnamese. He is mixed French and Vietnamese, but his appearance his Vietnamese. However, his English accent is quite thick at times. Mainly due to his French accent.

A lot of french were born and raised in vietnam du ring the colonial era. When i was a kid there was an old man from my village who was fluent vietnamese speaker.
