Sunday aka Sun's Day is a Pagan doctrine adopted by the Catholic Church. It is not the true Sabbath day. Official Catholic publications make this perfect clear. *”Sunday…* is purely a creation of the Catholic Church." Louis Gaston Segur, Plain Talk about the Protestantism of To-Day (London: Thomas Richardson and Son, 1874): 213_ _________________________ “Thus the *observance of Sunday* by the Protestants is a homage they pay, in spite of themselves, to the authority of the Church.” _American Catholic Quarterly Review, January 1883_ _________________________ *”Sunday is our mark of authority…* The Church is above the Bible, and this transference of the Sabbath observance is proof of that fact." _Catholic Record (September 1, 1923)_ _________________________ "Practically everything Protestants regard as essential or important they have received from the Catholic Church... The Protestant mind does not seem to realize that in *…observing Sunday, in keeping Christmas and Easter,* they are accepting the authority of the spokesman for the church, the Pope." _Our Sunday Visitor - Pius XI (February 5, 1950)_ _________________________ “The use of temples, and these dedicated to particular saints, and ornamented on occasions with branches of trees; incense, lamps, and candles; votive offerings on recovery from illness; holy water; asylums; *holy days and seasons… are all of Pagan origin and sanctified by their adoption into the Church.”* _Cardinal John Newman, An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine (London: Basil Montague Pickering, 1878): 373_

Pastor is right, six days you shall labor and rest on the 7th day shabbat. Sunday is the first day and a work day of the six. Shabbat is from sun down Friday to sun down Saturday. Sunday was a change of times and laws of God by man... where have I heard that before 🤔 not to mention the times and laws were changed by Rome to false Sun God worship ,,,, I'm sticking with God and not man. I'll work on Sunday and shabbat on God's day not man's 🙏 shalom yall....

I'm glad to get some discourse on this issue as I have struggled with understanding what to do here, not knowing which day to devote to Christ and which day to devote to working on my retirement home. As a result, when I received the sabbath light, I rested both days to refrain from accidentally angering God. Now I realize God was warning me not to make working on my retirement home an idol or a tool for destruction, for myself, or a stumbling block for others. Some of my concerns have been addressed, yet I'm still concerned with other issues. I can be a little slow to absorb the message herein. I will view this video some more and pray for wisdom to understand and accompany the light. I do not know the old language, so my bible studies suffer so much relevance and understanding. Am I putting myself in a box? Am I trying to put a box around others? How can I be secure in knowing what the difference is between what the law is and what "not one dot nor tittle..." means. I know believe that tittle means the strike of the t but I mean the idea behind these lights. Thanks for addressing the sabbath and idols portions. I struggle with clarity due to ignorance.

The are two issues with your assertion Mr. Bones. The first is that the days of the week as we know them (the Gregorian Calendar) didn't exist in Judea during the 1st century AD. There were two calendars in existence during that time, the Roman calendar which had an eight day week, designated with the letters A - H and the Hebrew calendar, which was used for all the Annual Feasts, as well as the weekly Sabbath. Passover always falls on the 14th day of the 1st month of the Hebrew calendar, followed by the weekly Sabbath on the 15th of the month. A new month was always determined by the new moon, which is also considered a holy convocation day. The following day (the second day of the month) was the first day of the week. Consequently, the weekly sabbath, always falls on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th days of the Hebrew month, which cannot be reconciled with the Pagan, Gregorian calendar. There are 21 instances of New Moon Days, in scripture. 14 of which also include the mention of Sabbaths: 1 Samuel 20:5, 1 Samuel 20:18, 1 Samuel 20:24, 2 Kings 4:23, 1 Chronicles 23:31, 2 Chronicles 2:4, 2 Chronicles 8:13, 2 Chronicles 31:3, Ezra 3:5, Nehemiah 10:33, Psalm 81:3, Isaiah 1:13, Isaiah 1:14, Isaiah 66:23, Ezekiel 45:17, Ezekiel 46:1, Ezekiel 46:3, Ezekiel 46:6, Hosea 2:11, Amos 8:5 and Colossians 2:16-18. One of the most salient of those verses is Isaiah 66:22-24 __________________________ *Isaiah 66:22-24* For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from *one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another,* shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. __________________________ During the 4th century under the reign of Constantius II and endorsed by Pope Sylvester, the Catholic Bishop of Rome, the Sanhedrin was prohibited from the practice of declaring the new month by observation of the new moon, and the new year by the arrival of spring. Consequently, Hillel II, Nasi of the Sanhedrin was forced to institute a fixed calendar, based upon the Julian calendar. Prior to that, the new month was determined by the new moon and the Sabbath was determined accordingly. The true Sabbath cannot be determined on the Gregorian calendar. The second issue is that the only Holy convocation that required a sundown to sundown time frame was the Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:32 ). The weekly Sabbath was and is to be recognized during daylight hours.

Condemnation is automatic for humans? By being born, I'm automatically condemned, because someone else sinned? If this is true, Adam is the one that condemned me, and you, and the person beside you. It was said very clear in the sermon. If death somehow spread because of Adam, why didn't God condemn Adam, and stop it from there, and why let it continue until the flood, when most everyone would be dying and would be lost? Why try again after the flood? Does this sound like the god that said he wants no one to perish? The truth is, the Hebrew authors derived specific stories from other cultures, especially the flood account which is a sandwich of stories from different myths in different areas.. The writers of the old testament did not intend for them to be read literally. The New Testament is a different religion than what the old testament teaches. You won't be told this in the church.

There is no division between Election of God and mens choice. They are One. My choice to believe Jesus is God's Election of Me by His Grace. And God's Election is my choice to believe Jesus. If I belive Jesus, I am elect od God.and if God elects me, I chose to belive Jesus. This is because of Jesus Prayer in John 17:21-21
@steelmilkjug12 күн бұрын
Yes. I cannot ever be angry at God for the favor He shows other people and not me, because I deserve Hell.. if the mystery of His will has been revealed to us, and the will of God is to believe on Jesus whole He sent, than God's Election is those who Believe Jesus. So if we believe Jesus we are Elect. Is that good reasoning? The only question remains, not why does God chose some and other He damns, but instead, why do some beleive Jesus and others don't? The only thing left to question is men, not God's Election, but men's election of believing Jesus.
