Produced and recorded in 1994, a year before Gusgus actually formed. That's insane. I think about tracks i was listening to around 1994 (mostly Orbital and FSOL); I of course didn't find Gusgus until well after the U.S. release of Polydistortion, which showed up one day in my local Tower Records CD "listening station" kiosks. Thirteen seconds into "Gun", i took the headphones off and bought the CD.

I lost me guinea pig two days ago. It was straight up out of nowhere; I came back from school and there she was. I knew she was acting weird, but didn't give it too much thought. On those last moments with her, I couldn't process it. At first, she was meant to be a gift for my younger brother, but she ended up staying with me. And in less than a month, I fell in love completely with her. She became something more than a guinea pig to me; she became my daughter. I looked out for her for all of those three wonderful years I had with her. And in just one day, she was gone for good. It still hurts. A lot. I wished her good night every time I went to sleep, and every time I always said to her "I love you" and I really meant it. Every time. Now I have no one to say goodnight to, every night now is extremely quiet. Every day my room is really quiet. Her little squeaks every time she was hungry (which was very often) became almost a common sound on my room. It didn't matter if she ate beforehand, she still did it. Now my little georgi is gone. And I really miss her. She died in my arms. It was devastating. I know that she is now up there, being the happiest guinea pig to ever exist. And I'm going to make sure I do enough good to see her again That day was not a goodbye, but, instead an "untill later.". We'll meet again, I know it for sure.
