Looks great! I'm planning on doing the same thing to my Twingo, did you use any silicone or glue to hold the roof down?
@thelittleshed2 ай бұрын
@solaricious- no, nothing at all. it is 100% leak proof. officially there is black vinyl on the roof where the sunroof slides over so the poop doesn't get damaged. i used black duct tape.

Hello - I would love to retrofit a sunroof onto my non-sunroof Twingo... finding the parts/roof/fasteners is fairly easy but I don't have a template for the positioning... any suggestion? Access to a Twingo with sunroof for reference and location transfer is impossible. I am nowhere near other Twingos.

Fascinating! Love steam engines. There is a seagoing museum ship based in SF, the liberty ship USS Jeremiah O'Brien and they used to fire up the engine every Saturday morning and the public was invited into the engine room to witness it. It was surprisingly quiet in operation. This particular triple expansion engine was manufactured by General Machinery Corporation....don't know if it was copy of an existing design and/or licensed for manufacturing during WW2. New England Shipbuilding Corporation built the entire ship in 56 days.

Very nice! When I was a kid I used to look at the catalog of all the Struart engine kits and eventually bought a single cylinder vertical engine kit. As I recall it was a 3/4" x 3/4" that I started but lost track of it while I was in the Navy making multiple moves.

Stuart steam engines have some magic... you've had the Stuart 10v. it is for sale as a casting set, pre-machined kit or ready to run. There are always a few on eBay too. Good luck!

That's pretty cool, where did you find all the parts fit? Can your run a small generator with it? Thanks
@thelittleshed2 жыл бұрын
A Stuart d10 is quite powerful, you would not expect. if you let the engine rev up, you can drive a dynamo or something else with it.
