I am gonig to try the blood knot with my 6lb braid with 4 ib flourcarbon. All of these knots were good to learn. I was also was curios to the math for the length of the leader and you answered that question. I love the trouit magnet jig nead so I will try the loop knot to see if I can increase my catch. I am in middle tennesee . Thank you for the video.

Good luck, Bud. I am a firm believer in the Loop Knot. So much so that I wouldn't cast out any other way

What size limits are you having to follow at this location?
@Look_N_4_LunkersКүн бұрын
10" size limit and 15 fish total. I usually just throw them back if they're small enough that I need to put them in the cup to make sure that they're big enough

What do you think of 6lb braid and 5 foot ultra light with trouit magnet jig? with a 4lb monofiliment leader?
@Look_N_4_LunkersКүн бұрын
Sounds perfect. I used to use braid to leader all the time myself and still do on my trout setup. On a braid to leader setup, I would use a florocarbon leader personally. Sometimes, the added sensitivity of braid to leader can cause you to miss fish (think bass fishing with a frog) You feel the bite, set the hook, but the fish didn't have the bait good enough. Braid to leader has better sensitivity, it's more economical, and you always have fresh floro/mono.... The con's are that you have to tie on a new leader after getting hung in cover, and the added sensitivity can sometimes cause you to set the hook too soon.
