I'm sorry that there is no follow-up to see how the project has progressed and whether the engineered solutions have worked as planned.

ca-city city hall urgently needs to develop basic water and electricity services in unbuilt areas, but it already has new owners of plots, they are eager to live there, let's hope in 2024 there will be more Urban development, many acres with owners but without services basics, it would be very interesting since the city would grow faster.

The amount of sediments trapped behind the damn would have prevented coastal erosion. All dams are guilty of contributing to coatal erosion.

Looks like a nice man made "fish ladder" Now if this worked well as planned could be model for others of needed in future. If previous fish ladders were built like this maybe they would have worked better. But is not better than nature?

to me it seems like, all that shit was only done to give some contractor asshole contracting licenses so that construction company could buy hookers and cocaine to the person who hired the contractors, public dollars being spent on bullshit so some construction company owner could get rich, fucking mafia

My town had excellent tasting water when I was young. Now, American Water has gotten their greedy hands on our water supply and it tastes lousy. Undrinkable without filtration. Plus, instead of wells, they supply our water from surface sources, so when the ambient temps go up and you really need cold tap water, the water is luke-warm. After any decent rain you can smell the chlorine in the water.

What this video seems to be about is: Can you believe we got this project done in California. I mean we are talking red tape coming out your ass, for years and years, and tens of millions of dollars, before you can even get a feasibility study done.

How long is it going to take to reopen your office. I've being waiting now for almost two months to see if I can get water on my property. After making several calls I'm still waiting to see if I can get water. What is it going to take??? If there were another water company to go to I would but there is not. Please give me a number to someone that can help me, please. 916 568-4229 does not answer. 916 275-3540 still has not helped. Again, what does it take to get costumer service?

historical note: environmental protection around 2018 when i was trying to get an authoritative, government job (like with those groups he names @ 5:20), FROM MY EXPERIENCE from southern california (maybe i was on a special list?) appeared to be environmental protection against MEXICANS, or others trying for a "better life" migrating to the misguided/demonic USA that tried to ensure demand for living in this country.. and not protection against our OWN civilized yet immature and harmful activities on our shared environment (as this video shows otherwise obviously)
@kikikut224 жыл бұрын
very good video caamwater, especially in light of some of the other videos on your channel. this is the kind of video that can be easily shown in school to children too (even though they may not care as much / be able to relate the importance to THEIR lives, as they likely continue benefiting from overly-controlled/-built environment such as dams and the like that effectively weaken them in their supply of water, food, energy..)
@kikikut224 жыл бұрын
am i getting this right? there was of course other reasons from some to remove the dam, like Nature-balance, but it sounds like (around 3:30) the main impetus to remove the dam started with the "water supply was insufficient" (so built another dam).. then the evaluation in early 1990s of the dangerisk posed to the community below... yes, this can be a great model for others in the world, but/and need other governments/responsible authorities wait until such dangerrisks build up like that!?

I have watched about 50 dam removal videos, so I feel I have the expertise to quarterback this thing post-mortem. If we have to remove every dam like this we won't be able to remove more that 50 dams a decade. Between all the talking heads and the placement of every single rock and pound of sediment, this thing is a great example of too much money and too many people.
@nobodycares9024 жыл бұрын
Everytime a dam is removed in California, a water pipeline from the water shed of another state needs to also be removed. California's dependance of out of state water needs to be removed. The only new habitat is the new developers that will move in and destroy the enviorment wit new housing developments. Money drives California!!!
