I just see it twice and I like it. Cory Michael Smith performance is perfect as usual. Sorry for my english. Who's the bad guy in it is not so clear, it's really a point of view. Declan Moore seems not to be a bad guy, he's a butcher because why not and he treats his animals well until he kills the one who will become meat (chicken, pigs...) in a way he thinks is "correct/humane". He clearly loves his dog (looking for him immediately when the door is broken, not for his personal effects, he's very caring with him) as a member of his family. The point of view of the sibling can be understanded too...For them, every life have the same value, so they saw him as a murderer. They clearly kill others people (butchers or part of the chain) before, so they are what they fight : murderers. The girl seems to realise a little bit they're gone too far or at least, have some empathy for Declan after the way he describes his meeting with his dog Ralphie, but she didn't oppose firmly and finally followed the plan. I'm questioning if they serve him "classical meat" (she buys some from him on the beginning, so she was able to buy some at another butcher for the dinner), but probably not. We didn't see her eating the meat but if she doesn't, Declan would see it. So, she eats, and as a vegetarian/vegan, I don't think she's capable of eating animals (?). So probably it's human flesh from their precedents victims and that's why even a butcher don't recognize what's looking a pig tail, probably the end of the human column. The fact they lied and made him thought he eated his own dog is awful, but a "normal" person would probably cry or vomit, call the police...Not brutally kill two people. So, we can assume the siblings are "right" in a way : killing animals "train" him to be insensible to violence and made him a murderer. He's capable of cutting them into pieces to give it as his dog... But, in another way, if he didn't, they would have killed him. I'm not sure, between the time he's furious about being tricked about his dog, and the moment he killed them, there is nothing "more" to see. We see it as flashbacks so perhaps we missed some dialogues, or he had the time (or feels it) to realize they kill humans and he just fight for his own life ?
