I read the first part of the book. In the introduction, the authors used all the negative words, some very malicious even libelous terms ever found in the English dictionary on a politician, a then-former president and the current president. I wished the authors had presented facts and their understanding of truth to audiences and let them draw conclusions about the subject and his acts. The authors may have concluded that the stable genius' political breathe had been ended and could paint any kind of him as they wished. They work or worked for the WaPo, which is full of woke journalists. The tide has changed since the lastest election. Wondered how they feel now about the 'stable genius" and 'millimeters miracle".

Watching in 2025 and it’s disgraceful the degree to which we are steeped in this hatred once again - history teaches us that we must be vigilant.

A couple of speaches Chirs Hedges has given I listened to him attack Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis and in this instance he refers to "neo-Confederates" and the erection of Confederate monuments recently, with a poison tongue and in diresion. I don't buy his socialism. I support his defense of the Palestinians and his attacks on Zionist. But, he, like most all Yankees, has no understanding of the Confederacy or our leaders of the Confederacy. Hedges on the one hand talks at length about revolution, and doesn't even mention the Confederates and why they broke with the United States, an idea of their own Southern invention as the "Virginia Plan. Southerners are the true revolutionaries of this nation, but like all Yankees he has no deep knowledge about the South or its people any more that the abolitionist ministers that criticized Neamiagh Adams after he went South and spent time there and came back to write his book dispelling the Yankee myths. Hedges in this matter is promoting myth as fact with little understanding, and stereotypes Southerners by slight of hand.

This book was so well done, and the audiobook should’ve won some type of award (acted perfectly)- had me disgusted, in love and understanding of exactly how the industry of slavery and it’s children; systemic racism, capitalism, privilege kept America from ever being great and how it’s propaganda divides this nation until this day- it literally put us on the fast track to our demise.
