The I.O.M. Government paid many millions of pounds for this new terminal in Liverpool. A great asset for the city. It didn’t cost UK taxpayers a penny.

Can I suggest you remake the Safety Video. On the current video with pirate announcing safety he pulls out a massive sword, which is quite scary and indicates how easy it is to bring weapons aboard the vessels. Just a suggestion!

The second time, they dug up the street In less than a year. They didn't show the parts where there was no Gates protecting some of the businesses as they were digging up. I had to request. They put up some type of shield. So because the rocks were smashing into my window. I also have pictures in video of this. It took him a very long time as well. Then head to rush at last minute because they had a deadline.

I've been past a couple of times but forgot to look how far it is from the current berth. Don't want to be wondering around too far after sunset. Another wonder.....how much are they spending on these videos????? One last wonder.....given that the prom was supposed to be originally £10M, then £20M, now north of £30M, inclusive of tram lines AND sea defence, only now the last item looks like a major add on and a major engineering job of £M's, not least destroying what's left of the beach, the wonder is, what did they "forget" to do when the terminal eventually opens????? No doubt more of our £M's PS, nice to see the Corpy working on the playground wall.....at last.

I hadn't realised that the Isle of Man would have its own version of the accession proclamation. I had assumed that the words of the one given in London which mentioned other realms and territories would have been used.

@@Shkk Yes, but that particular phrase in the Isle of Man's proclamation does not include the Isle of Man whereas, in the UK's proclamation, it does so the UK one would still have worked legally for the Isle of Man, I would have thought. I wonder whether every realm and territory had its own proclamation. The UK one is issued by the Privy Council which contains representatives from the sovereign's other realms and territories. It seems odd if the other places can come up with their own proclamations without the Privy Council.

@@MrBulky992 Actually every Commonwealth realm have their own proclamation. The king has 15 titles . Like in Australia he will be proclaimed as *King of Australia and his other realms and territories* . This was actually agreed in 1952 itself in the commonwealth summit that each realm will their own title of the monarch with some parts to be common .

The Island being connected to the rest of the world is essential to both the Island's economy and the quality of life of residents. The idea that the IOM taxpayer shouldn't fund a terminal that goes exclusively to the Isle of Man is bizarre. Who else is going to pay for it? Do you think Liverpool consider tourists from the Island a vital contributor to their economy? If the IOM didn't pay for it then it just wouldn't get built. The residents of the IOM already pay low tax, and yet a sizeable portion of the population think that their taxes should be still lower, it's just a race to the bottom.

@@КурочкаКрашена civil servant enters the chat. Only an idiot involved in the project could try and justify £70 million on a ferry terminal we can't use in winter and doesn't take freight. We have been robbed by the contractors, and DOIs mismanagement of the project will come to light soon enough

Have they actually said it can’t be used in the winter?! If so that’s shambolic. Why not just choose a different location altogether, if it’s to do with the Mersey? Or it this a limitation of the Mannannan itself? One thing that has crossed my mind that would be absolute typical of Manx developments.. New ferry terminal opens, not suitable for the new Manxman vessel. 😂
