Why has this been taken out of official circulation? It's perhaps the closest thing to a hit single that came from a brilliant album and a brilliant performer.

This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. The music of Dead Can Dance and Lisa Gerard is so deep and cathartic. Thank you for posting. :D

It might have been 1986, our music teacher was playing this music and it seemed to me like everyone in the class was bored or annoyed. But I was completely fascinated and had to buy this LP immediately. During this time it was as if I was actually discovering what music could be.

The lucky will love this. Some composers mine the untouched, untread lands. Mistakes abound. I'm beginning to think what can't be remembered isn't necessary but it still has valued. Just because your mind has limits doesn't mean art will have limits. Beauty is man-made conception but art transcends human beings and our imagination. Art is not man made. A Beethoven is man and the gawds or unknown principles at work in the universe merging and creating. I know some critic, theoritician, artist before me must have realized this. In a world where business competition leads to war which is allowed .Legal one can expect anything. Civilization must have competition. Progress and want and greed go together. When U really see life you begin to see there is no humanity without murder, lie and evil. I don't want to believe this but evidence. The rich snd powerful don't send their kids to die in wars. Civilization ain't perfect.

This album, and Hearing Solar Winds, are my favourite David Hykes & the Harmonic Choir albums. Just had a reiki session and listened to Current Circulation the entire time. Perfection.

This is possibly her greatest work. She captures something that genuinely feels prehistoric. Much of her stuff is too out there for me but this is very affecting.

I miss seeing her perform. Too bad that the small town I moved to, will only bring in Disney and other mainstream corporate performers. They don't know what they are missing.

haha I gotchcha! As a big fan of both Monk and drugs, I understand what you mean. lol My GF hates it and thinks it's irritating and pretentious, which I get. Personally I like its exploration of the human voice as an instrument. But I also definitely get why it's so polarizing. lol Thanks for the comment!

Can you imagine that it is possible to deeply appreciate and/or love Richard Wagner and Meredith Monk at the same time? Expand your brain capacity of imagination, that may help! No drugs needed, I assure you. Music is enough of a drug.😊

I listened to this on a German radio programme in 1989, as a 14-year-old, by mere coincidence. I was completely mesmerized and I was really fortunate that I got hold on the CD eventually.

A UFO crashed someplace in montana but they left this 23 minute message some of us are still trying to decode the closest i could get goes something like this "we visited your planet and everywhere we were, was wrong" or am I completely mistaken maybe it is a clue to what is happening from time to time among us, "A still unidentified virus is slowly eating off men's limbs and faces in remote village huts. We can help."
