Mordin dying DESTROYED me. Especially since I helped him since the first game, I heard his singing and I just started sobbing. And then my MaleShep telling Tali to go back to Rannoch to build a home, only for her to choke out, "I have a home..." FUCK, that tore me to pieces.

A TRUE female gamer! And you play Halo AND BG3! ... Gasp! Do you wanna hang out? I desperately want to have someone to play games again! It's lonely nowadays. So much so that I kinda miss getting crap in the Xbox live chat for being a girl.

Oh no, the ending you chose was by far the most depressing too. At least with destruction you can keep telling yourself Shepard may have survived. But not with that ending you can’t :((

The Mass Effect trilogy, especially 3, are absolute pieces of art, treasures that must be preserved at all costs. This is one of the greatest stories ever told, period.

My favorite game out of all of them. This game knew how to stomp on your heart over and over. 😭😭😭😭😭 And the whole scene with Garrus and Shepard saying goodbye at the end resulted in the actress, Jennifer Hale, actually cried while doing it. So her sounding choked up wasn't acting at all, even though she tried to keep her voice smooth, lol.

I LOVED THIS!!! I played through the first time when Xbox released. Being a dude there wasn't a lot of screaming, but there were MANY MANY "HOLY F" and "HOLY ISH" and "WTF!!". I adored both of you ladies' reactions. THIS is what KZbin was meant to be.

did you know the arbiter was the one who carved 117 on the memorial? Legally the UNSC was not allowed to declare any spartan as "KIA" or killed in action, they can only be declared "MIA" missing in action. So despite the memorial set up, Master Chief was not allowed to be in it. You can tell that the scratch was quite clean if not a little crude, it had to be made from an energy sword, and the Arbiter used the number because he never knew Master Chief's name was John-117, he only ever called the chief "demon" or "spartan".

What if intold You that i'm the canon: -There are some other spartans gen2 like chief less then 20 -there are space stations where élites and spartans work together after war -we as humanos use to have more than 880 human colonies bybthe end of the hukan Covenant war we were reduced to less than 50 -arbiter is responsable for the invasión of reach in part, he annhilated 7 human planets, 1 billion human cassualties, 123 human ships and 23k UNSC soldiers -by the end of war the earth population was killed either evacuated to 90% mostly killed

See that’s what I love about Mass effect. It gets you invested in the world, makes interesting and fleshed out characters that you fall in love with, and then it uses that love to DESTORY YOU EMOTIONALLY basically every second of ME3. And then you want to go and do it all over again 😂

I'm not one to cry, but Kaine's monologue on ending E, where she says she swore to be by your side and promises to get you back no matter what it takes - while you get flashbacks of the whole game - thats a special feeling that got me. Fooling you into thinking that self-sacrifice is what you need to do, only to realize you're hurting the one you're sacrificing yourself for even more than if you were to let her go. There's so many stories of people dying for the ones they love - but how many of them would actually agree with their loved ones giving up their life or them?

A lot of the lore for the series is also explored in the Halo books (In particular "The Fall of Reach" explores Master Chief's origins, "The Flood" is a tie-in to the first Halo game, and "First Strike" happens between Halo 1 and Halo 2). They're well worth the read.
@Xudmud3 ай бұрын
Another fun fact: The game's manual made ZERO mention of the Flood, and Bungie worked hard to make sure none of the game reviews mentioned them either. So the game all of a sudden taking that sharp left turn caught a ton of people unawares, as far as they knew it was just a game about humans vs aliens space opera.
@Xudmud3 ай бұрын
Fun fact: "Going Nowhere Fast" was actually a speedrunning competition Bungie ran soon after the first Halo game came out around 2001, when they'd seen how people were posting and comparing how fast they could complete the levels.

1:01:52 you're not alone. I felt the same in this moment. It's oddly poignant to notice the difference between heartfelt words and how those words sound when you hear them. Dying over and over, the messages seem silly and frustrating, but then when it's your turn to make those words you mean them.
