A lot of debate at the time..Had the "slide begun"after 20 years of Rallying of Billy Coleman's dominance..to be fair he had a new Group A car BMW M3..he only did the Sunday Stages as sweeper Car on the Short Circuit of ireland a few months earlier, as the Car stopped on SS2 ...it was heavy it had 290BHP..but the Light Weight Manta Group B 400s in there last year of homologation were better suited to Donegal and were Superbly Driven by Bertie and Austin..@paddy Sullivan VHS 📼 1990s Cork ireland.

Saw Dagg in his imp special at coombe many times 70's / 80's he drove just like that, he certainly knew how to drive that imp. Normally won.

Much better decade the 80s was for rallying Opel Manta was a fantastic car and Saeed Al Hajri added flair to the rally and wasnt afraid to take damage to his Porsche 911 great rally driver
