10000 points on the benchmark with my pc and its impossible to get stable 60 there, its ridiculous

Who the hell wants to play 4K if it isnt 60fps?!

PS4 and xbox one have really bad CPUs compared to their GPUs, FF14 happens to be a CPU intensive game.

Get anything more powerful than a gtx 1060 6gb to play at 1080p, nothing less. I talk from my own experience. That way you will be able to play at ultra stable 60 at 99% of the time.

@@Bankoru Nope, it's not. My i7-4770 load is something about 15-30%, but my 2060 (80% load) doing the best to keep stable 75, or 50-60 during Trials on 1440p.

Says its rendered in 1080p, the video quality is capped at 720. Lulz. Fail.

Not really a fail, it shows the fps from a 1080p output but yes the video is capped at 720p, but that no problem we all have seen what we want too so give the video a like and shut up :D

The Ps4 Pro at a higher resolution still has better fps than a normal PS4. If you tone the graphics down and use the same resolution as a normal PS4, you'll have even more fps. So it's about a 10 fps difference (in general). It's a lot considering the max is 60. So about 5 fps more than the slim at higher graphics and 10fps more at normal graphics. In some instances you do see a 15fps difference tho.

This game actually plays better with a controller, it was designed for it.

@@Bankoru Idk, i find navigating menus tediously slow with a controller, granted i havent given myself enough time to adjust, but its so fast to just open my inventory and swap a piece of gear because of a mouse. Combat i think the controller is okay, but i still feel like the keyboard gives me more control. Plus i can use it to type where with the gamepad i'd have to set it down to type on a keyboard. One piece of equipment that would be really good for this game however is an azeron keypad which i still cant get my hands on.

Actually bruh this game is awesome with a controller, you're not going to prove to me or anyone that you can move your character around , dodge and escape aoe's etc.. better with a mouse and keyboard vs anyone with a controller. This game is designed for game controllers.

@@anthonygiovanni8434 Everything takes longer to do with the controller, combat is fine when you get used to it, but inventory management and just using menus takes more time vs point and click of a mouse.

@@Malinkadink dont get me wrong I can do either...i go back to everquest and Dark Age of Camelot days mmorpg days. But even back then at least for movement , especially during a PvP type game, I always wished for a game controller lol. I agree with the switching around thru menus etc. Is swifter with a mouse.

That's never happened to me, even during launch periods. The game renders even when losing connection to the server. Also, they run separate servers for duties and the main world anyway.

That will be the case if you're running the game in 4k mode. I will make a video for the 4k and 1080p comparison soon.

@@BrianLloyd1991 I know this is old but that's incorrect, you have to do it from the PS4 settings itself in the Video options

Kevin Rodriguez Definitely the pro, not only is the framerate more stable, although not perfect as you can see, but if you use an SSD you get load speeds on par with PC, which for this game is really helpful. It's all of course more expensive though.

I know its too late to say as you noght have already bourght it but id say a gaming pc, the fps on ffxiv is shit, especially when theres other people there.

@@medina2407ify pc isn't always better, preference is relative, i have both a top notch gaming pc and a normal ps4 and i still play ffxiv on ps4 simply for comfort and big screen reasons. console and pc BOTH have pros and cons.

Only games that have no Pro support can use Boost mode. FFXIV already has Pro support and shows increased frame-rate on 1080p mode.

The only areas that seem to have drops into the mid 50s is on the world map areas. Everything else is stable 60 on base PS4.
