I really like that tank but you’re trials and tribulations I decided to go with RDS instead I just don’t like how they charge you $100 plus for the kit and you still got a find an extra part no but good job to you sir Dee Zee you lost a sale . Your R&D is not up to par . 😂

We've stayed there before. It's a great location close enough to walk and see the sights.

Roll over valve should be on the tank not the filler neck.
@XSteele4 жыл бұрын
If he read the instructions he would of installed the roll over protection valve at the tank. Good catch.
@911563 жыл бұрын
@@XSteele He installed it in the proper place (it's in the instructions). I've installed four gravity feed auxiliary diesel tanks on pickups in the last few years. The tank will/should have its own rollover with whatever type of breather setup it has.

I would have put a grommet between the hose and that sharp sheet metal bed

I'm looking to add a fuel water seperator to my Aux tank. Do you have any videos or ideas on the easiest way to do that? Thanks
@slickric416 жыл бұрын
I would have added a water separator since most of these tanks sweat on the inside. Have seen a lot desiel injectors problems because of it.

Awesome video sir. Have you had any ventilation issues with the factory tank leaking fuel from the vent line when you fill the Dee Zee tank? I have a 2011 reg. cab long box 4x4 6.7 xl truck and I'm really considering buying this same set up. Alot of people are complaining about the rounded corners of the bed, you would think Dee Zee would address this problem. Thank you for your time sir. Take care.

I added a similar setup to my 2015 F250 SD and it did leak through the vent valve on top of the primary tank. I took a length of 3/8' fuel line and attached it to the top of the vent and ran it to back to the bed to a point higher than the base of the aux tank; that stopped the leak and I put 35,000 miles on it with no issues. 1,300 mile range on a single fill-up while not towing was awesome.

Most install instructions I’ve seen said you have to extend the stock fuel tank vent to under the bed rail.

have you had any problems with it overflowing? I'm looking to get this setup on my 2012 F-150
@jonfoskett33886 жыл бұрын
No no problems with overflowing in normal use ......remember to put the main cap back on though as it will overflow then. Otherwise, I am very happy with adding this unit. Thanks for the question

Hello Jon. Did you buy the pump separately or it came with the Kayak? What about the paddles? Did they come with the Kayak? I watche the video and saw you taking the Kayak out of the black bag. I can't believe it fits in that small bag.
@jonfoskett33887 жыл бұрын
Hi Mick.......it comes with the pump and seats etc. it did not come with paddles, I commented on that when | bought it however the dealer claimed because of so many varieties of paddles. the did give me a very good deal on ones that are 2 piece that you would be able to strap to the tote bag. She loves it, and it stows nicely in our RV Thanks and hope you enjoyed the video

Jon Foskett Thanks for responding Jon. The Kayak I've ordered doesn't come with either pump or paddles. I understand about the paddles being of different size and needs but I believe the pump (like yours) should have been added. That's what I believe anyway. The Kayak is a Aquaglide Columbia 3 seater. Anyway, I checked my local camping store and they sell Coleman high volume low pressure rechargeable two way pumps (inflate/deflate), and a number of paddles (Some are fixed lengths and some adjustable), so I guess I'll have to buy them here. Like you, in the video, I can't wait to hit the water. lol. Thanks. Have a nice time with your Kayak. Cheers.
