the acclamator 1 carrier is amazing. its cheap, shreds fighters with flak and has light turbolasers too. it murders fighters. it also has 100 crew for stealing republic dreadnaughts

Yeah, my Victory 2 can protect a whole system by itself (with full hangar) even from L ships. Quasar would struggle in the long run

27:45 - it looks like SWI authors used the walkable="0" trick on the docking pads of Quasar Fire - it is the same thing RE does on M Carriers with external docks. You need to Shift+D to move from fighter to carrier bridge and back, teleporters do not work for this.

To be clear regarding the Smart Chips - the blueprint missing from Argon Federation rep is a vanilla "feature" that we THOUGHT we fixed earlier... But that fix got lost during one of the mod updates. Glad you brought it up though, it should have been in there! :D As for the blueprints - vanilla game has built in "gaps" for each faction. Some examples: PAR missing Claytronics and Drone Components HOP missing Field Coils, Smart Chips and Engine Parts (yes, really) ANT missing Drone & Missile Components ARG missing Field Coils and Smart Chips TEL missing Missile & Turret Components Interestingly enough, Egosoft stopped introducing these "gaps" in DLC factions, but never patched them for the original 3 races - Split, Borons, Terrans and VIG/RIP all have all the BPs they need. Oh, and the AI building the factories they need after they get the needed BPs and required quota changes - not a mod. It is a vanilla behavior.

The TIE Defender can be found in Galactic Empire wharves, but it sits behind the Advanced Ships License like the capital ships. I think I saw it in the list when you perused small ships at the Imperial wharf, but it was in red.

Unfortunately the ship is not buyable for players, (this has been told by the devs) you need to find it and force the pilot out, which is a bit of a shame.

@@DailyFixLP Weird, as the listed requirement is the same as for most of the interesting Imperial ships: from the Lancer frigate, to the heavy cruiser as used by Moff Gideon, all the way to all non-Super Star Destroyers. They all require the "Imperial Advanced Ships Access" according to the menus. I have a feeling that there must be some engine limitation that hides actual requirements. Ships not sold to players are generally identified as such, like the SSDs here, or the Syn and Asgard classes in Cradle of Humanity. I wonder why that was not applied to the TIE Defender...

Good to hear you genuinely having fun with your playtime as well as content creation... It's a shame how the game devs for EVE treated @PirateSoftware & friends, from treating them like second class citizens what with how they would delay basic technical support for their guild including ship refunds when glitches caused the loss of assets/progress & putting them on the back burner when they reported problems in the game. Whenever PirateSoftware & guild would have any issues reported to the correct avenues, CCP games in their words would consider that guilds issues a non-issue until it affected & was reported by other guilds & players, in which, in their own words, they said they thought it "was Just a [Pirate Software's guild] issue..." Imagine calling the 911 because a fire broke out & they didn't send the fire department because they thought the fire wasn't real until your neighbors' house caught on fire... That kind of contempt for their own players turned me off from ever playing anything EVE or CCP games for that matter.

You can change the snapping angle for module rotation while holding shift at the settings menu inside the plan build menu on the top right. Discrete angle snap. :) maybe you like it then

Seems weird the corvettes don't have forward weapons but the carrier does. I guess like you said it could be a torpedo boat and support the fleet at range. Might a lore thing I honestly wouldn't know. I also wonder how it affects gameplay and battles at large to completely focus on turrets like that.

If it 1 shot you, probably a wrecking shot? That's just a bad beat, haven't really done much abyss but wrecking shots sound like those are the bane of frigates in the abyss? The 1 benefit to looting as a tech 1 youngbro is I've run across 4 million isk warp disruptors fairly frequently, so that's usually a 4 million injection every several sites.

I will look into this bane of the abyss it's very possible that it was that. i kinda stopped doing abyss till i get a cruiser and have the isk to lose one. Ow bow i would welcome that i have done several sites but so far i think I've seen one warp disrupter, when im watching some playthroughs where they can't buy from markets etc they find so many 🤣

Dude, hold shift to snap when rotating. It'll go 15,30 etc degrees. you can also hold ctrl to not snap to connections which can be helpful sometimes.

@@DailyFixLP There is a cog in the upper right where you can set the step size in increments of 5 degrees, choose 15 if you want to do both 8-way(every 45 deg.) and 6-way(every 60 deg.) or go all the way down to 5 degrees per step.

the trading issues are the vanilla trade script. you can install tatertrade/ mules supply for better scripts. they are also more performance effecient.

L ships are usually a better investment, but for SWI they seem to be very inefficient. They seem to rarely make trades that take the their full cargo hold unless you get lucky. So for SWI more medium and s ships seem to be better value. At least until you have more stations then at least the L ships have a better chance during the random mid/late game raids.

I won't spoil what's in Unknown Regions III. Some additional info is that in my playthroughs, at least so far, the damn BLS have a Refit station in Unknown Regions I... and a whole ass star destroyer patrolling the area, engaging me.

For M civilian ships, your only pick of thruster is All round Mk1. They don't do pitch and roll maneuvers, they don;t really strafe, what they do however, is yaw.

I really don't think paying 1Mil for better thrusters is worth it on any civilian ship. It makes such a low difference, you only save a few seconds while docking and undocking, especially when out of sector. For 6 of those Neutron with Mk3 Thrusters, you can get 7 Neutron with Mk1 Thrusters. The only thing that matters on civilian ships is throughput. It's why cargo trains are never designed to go fast, and speed is ultimately irrelevant on them when gains are marginal improvements at insane cost, at best. Any keen logisitician knows this. All you need is numbers and cargo volume to get as big a train as possible. How fast each individual wagon moves is utterly irrelevant. But you have 6 trains going 1 step / time OR 7 trains going 0.95+ step / time (since most time is spent loading/unloading cargo and in hyperspace where thrusters are irrelevant) Throughput of case A is 6 hauls / time, while throughput of case B is slightly less than 7 hauls / time. I don't know how else to explain it, but anything other than Thruster Mk1 is a mistake on civilian ships when they spend most time loading/unloading / mining / in hyperspace anyway. You don't see those Maersk supercargo container carriers move fast at all, with that much volume, they don't need to.

6:37 about the weapons - notice how most weapons have two letters in front? First one is size, second mount type. Remember VRO adds special mount types (High-Energy). Example: SL means Small-Light, so it goes into any small mount. SH means Small-Heavy, which goes into small slot, but requires that slot to be High-Energy one (pink rectangle icon on the slot)

Regarding presets - don't go thinking they are set up by authors or anything. The game just automatically populates equipment with highest available "use threshold" (value in the macro file). When there are multiple pieces of equipment with the same threshold, high presets picks the most expensive one. There is no logic going into it - when you pick High Preset the game just slaps most expensive equipment possible and doesn't care if the loadout makes sense.

Just a mention to all our X4 Captains out there, be sure to use the Long and Short Range Scanners to your benefit, as the long range scan will reveal items of interest in the sector you're in, and the short range you will use to better understand station modules (in case you want to steal blueprints) and supply/production needs so you can keep up with the local economy of station trading. Also drop satellites near stations and gates so you can keep up with what's happening all across the galaxy, you will thank me for this later! Enjoy, gang!

This looks like an interesting mod. I have been playing X3 TC off and on the last few years, I tried X4 a few years ago but there was still some game breaking bugs in it for me. It's good to see that the X4 game has stabilized and people are making Star Wars mods for it, it seems like a great combination of the X universe and the Star Wars universe. This is the way!

For Resource Delivery missions you might want to look at the Lambda Shuttle. It's only got 4.5k container space but it's one of the fastest ships in the game at almost 8k travel speed. That's pretty much double what you get from your bulk transporter and 1.5 times the speed of the 9k freighters. I don't remember whether missions supplies fit into it though so you'd have to do the math. But it's a great mission and exploration ship either way. It has around ~300 regular speed with ~600 boost with some good maneuverability and acceleration. It comes with a decent beginner weapon-loadout and more than 20 deployables as well as around 20 crew for passively training up marines and service crew for those missions. It even comes with a turret. The only thing I don't remember is the heat capacity for the weapons but you shouldn't need huge amounts of sustained fire with an exploration ship either way. Price should be around 1 million so it pays for itself with 3 missions and it's much better at it than a Tie imho. You can get it at the Munnilinst Wharf iirc? Plus it's one of the most iconic movie ships in all of Star Wars. #LambdaShuttleForPresident PS: The Coruscant Financial Bureau is separate from the Supply system. It just adjusts your rep gains and losses bases on the size of your operation to make sure that very big players start loosing their neutrality in the galactic conflict as they gain more and more assets. It's mostly relevant for people who do the custom start since I'm assuming you're going to be all Empire all the way anyways and you already have all of their Diplomacy by default with the Imperial Free Agent start.

I do think i should replace my bulk freighters like the size is nice but overall its a horrible ship, no defenses at all. but still the size 🤣 as for the ships your talking about im slightly at a loss tbh could you give me the name so i can get a clear picture? @@DailyFixLP the Lamba Shuttle is an Empire ship. Lambda is the class so it should be something like Lambda-class Shuttle? There's also a serial number designation but I don't remember it. It's a medium ship classified as a transporter. Thankfully you don't have to go looking for it. Munnilinst is an imperial system, I believe it's where you have your mining station? The system north of Yaga Minor. The bulk freighter is good when you are in relatively secure faction space and when you have some good routes able to use that entire bulk because for the amount of space you get, it's really cost effective. But yeah, without an escort it's completely helpless so definitely not a frontier/contested territory trader. The Gozanti-class imperial armed Transport is a good compromise for a medium ship between speed (around 6.5k), Cargo (9.3k) and defense (it has huge amounts of shield compared to the other options.) The only problem is that it's almost double the price of the Bulk Freighter and you only get like .75x the capacity. You should also be to get one with a good load-out at the Munnilinst station though you can try checking the others. There's a few varieties of the Gozanti-class and there's also some load-out varieties between the different stations even with highest preset.
