Are there any coloured ink fountain pens that you'd recommend to beginners? I've tried one before and all the ink spilled out immediately 💀 rip that notebook it was completely soaked

It's crazy to me that I have been following your channel for TWELVE YEARS NOW. You were always such a major inspiration for my younger self even if I ended up pursuing Ornithology instead of Art in the end. Gotta break out my sketch book again after watching this!

I have the Writers Blood and Earl Grey in that ink brand (Diamine I think it is?) and they also wash out like that.

I just received the Artist 15.6 Pro V2. I've loaded its driver. My computer is an iMac Pro desktop (macOS Sequoia 15.2). Do I need to go into the computer's System Settings > Displays, in order to be able to see its screen on the 15.6 Pro V2? As of now, I do not see my computer's screen. Is this model capable of being calibrated for brightness and color, using a product such as Calibrite?

I'm afraid I'm not sure with a Mac D: you can give that a try. With windows in display settings you can set the monitors to mirror, so that they both show the same thing, or extend, where they behave seperately. It might be worth looking out for a review from Teoh on Tech as he does extensive reviews on both pc and mac, or at least look at previews reviews he's done to see if there's a solution, or do some googling/redditing. I haven't used calibrite but I'm sure you can calibrate it with that, you can alter colour settings etc in the tablet driver or a third party driver like Nvidia control panel

I had that screen problem with my laptop, and it would only behave if unplugged. Got it fixed by having the native refresh rate lowered (from 144hz). I was told that just happens to laptops over time, so I'm not optimistic about your replacement in 3 years unless they made changes ^^;

aah that's a shame D: My 8 yr old laptop is still fine though, it might happen with some brands maybe if the connections aren't put together securely? It's something that can be fixed with better hardware, which I'm hoping they've improved with here

Would you recommend csp ex for animation? I’ve been looking to buy csp but I’m not sure if the price is worth it since the only thing I’m interested that’s not included in pro is the unlimited animation. I have been using krita and it’s decent, but I’m wondering if csp is better (for larger projects like animatics and animations longer than a second).

It's fine! It's not as feature rich and user friendly as professional software like toon boom or tvpaint, but it's great software for the price and very versatile. Sometimes I choose it over those other two programs because it has a really nice array of brushes so you can make more painty animation. I haven't used Krita myself so it's worth watching a lot of videos to compare n see what you think is best, or try a free trial and weigh them up

You can't listen the sound as you scroll on the time-line? As a professional animator I'm used to work like that. Guessing where to put your keys must be really tideous, especially if Clip doesn't consistently display the animation in real time...

Audio scrubbing is now available on version 3 of csp! This isn't really built to be professional animation software, so as a fellow professional you can stick to stuff like Toon Boom and TVPaint

So then what happens when you trying to create music videos, or a scene with all those sound effects and background music altogether? Does this mean I have to cut off the audio every time?

I'd animate to the sound that needs to be animated to, such as music if you wanna lipsync or making sure you match a beat etc, sound effects is usually done after animation during the editing phase, say in adobe premiere or davinci resolve etc. Animate in CSP in a shot by shot basis, then edit together in editing software at the end
