Brings back so many memories. I recall when Qantas flew to Bangkok and Sydney via London Heathrow until they joined up with BA. There used to be a nice line up of Cathay, Qantas and Singapore A747-400s during the morning usually. Id flown with the Singapore a few times via Paris, Amsterdam and Zurich before continuing to Singapore. Even Gulf Air, Air Canada, Canadian Airlines and South African used to visit. Think the South African flew to Paris before continuing to J’burg. Interesting that Abu Dhabi was a more significant destination than Dubai at the time with Emirates flying Airbus A310-300s a few times a week via Rome or Paris before continuing to Dubai. Apologies for the useless info but I was a total kid aviation geek in those days and even collected timetables and the Manchester Airport Flight check booklet

I went to a friends and family day at RAF Valley so I actually got to go in the Base and get up close to a Hawk T2 and Texan my self! Great vid by the way!

I was there we were on top of the open top bus and had just come back from a tour of the Airfield when it took off as a 10 year old I couldn't believe the noise incredible.
