Anybody know what would be the best emulator to play this game? Would it be RMG, Parallel or some other N64 emulator, since Project 64 isn't supported anymore and is no longer recommended?

i’m not sure, i thought p64 was still getting updates. For what i was doing, p64 worked just fine

@@josephq773 I think from the sounds of it, it might be getting new support as of recently. Which would be good, because there were reports that Project 64 had become malicious software at one stage.

It's just like how the TOCA Race Driver trilogy is known as the V8 Supercars: Race Driver trilogy in Australia. I may be Australian, but I like the international version more just because it has more than two cars to choose from.

@@jong4tv That's how they used to market the V8s of Australia. By rebranding specific racing games, or in the case of classic Need for Speed, add them in as additional content. The last hurrah for Australian motors, is Forza Horizon 3, with one of the starter cars being a HSV Ute. Sadly, there are no more Australian car manufacturers anymore, as they've all filed for bankruptcy and the V8 Supercars would just be known as Supercars, with Mustangs and maybe some rebranded HSVs,

I always thought Sunset Sands was fun based solely on all of the bizarre secret passages and little quirks. The "good things come to those who wait" secret passage blew my mind as a child

If you haven't already, you should try San Francisco Rush 2049. Available on Dreamcast and N64, or as part of the Midway Arcade Treasures 3 for PS2/Gamecube/Xbox. Similar gameplay, more variety, has plenty of alternate paths and coins to hunt and collect for unlockables. A couple extra modes, like stunt and battle as well.

I love Tick Tock Clock for the way the clock gimmick works. If the minute hand is on the 3, everything moves slower than normal, the 6 will cause everything to move at random, the 9 makes everything go faster than normal and the 12 makes nothing move at all. If the hand isnt on the 3, 6, 9, or 12 than everything moves at normal speed. The 12 is only useful for the 8 red coins, and the 9 is only useful for the 2 stars that require bring on a spinning clock hand to get to both of those individual stars.

@@tulip1634 i’m not sure, i could just be my render settings messing with it when i made the original video. the full video is on the channel if you want to check. but i looked it up and plus does use interpolation for its new frames.

Loved this game! My friend introduced it to me. We spent hours exploiting the bugs in the game, and even managed to get a sub-1-minute time on the desert track via handbrake launching across the entire thing! Glad to see it wasn't lost to time 😊

First is donkey kong, 2nd is Mount Mayhem from Beetle Adventure Racing/HSV Adventure Racing, and the last is from spongebob, i believe it’s the episode with the clam from either season 1 or 2.

I've always loved Beetle Adventure Racing - I particularly loved a rather hilarious bug when you had unlocked the "handbrake" cheat. By timing it correctly with the handbrake power set to extreme, if you did a handbrake turn just as your car went airborne from a ramp or a bump, you'd suddenly shoot off into the distance at insane speeds. When I played a lot of Beetle Battle with some friends back then I could pull it off about 60% of the time - but as I've not played it as much recently, I just can't seem to get the right timing any more.

@@josephq773 The trick is to be just "starting" the handbrake turn as your back wheels are leaving the jump if memory serves me correctly. You know you're close to the timing if you get a crazy spin out of it , so just keep attempting with a similar timing - get it right and you'll shoot off into the distance. On the Beetle Battle arenas you're likely to fly right out the arena doing this. Just remember though, the handbrake power needs to be set to "Extreme" for this to work, however.

My friend and I that played this back in the day often had races to see who could leave the map first 😂 The best place that I recall the handbrake bug being used was actually in the desert battle map. Driving up the pyramid structures in the middle, when you hit the peak of the pyramid you can get some insane launches and we could often get our minimap markers to the complete opposite corners of the screen! Another bug we found was the ability to drive up vertical walls. It wasn't easy to get it to happen, but you could literally fenagle your car into a vertical position by driving into a wall. Once you had all four wheels on the wall, with some snaking back and forth you could get it to drive UP the wall! 😆 I remember my friend was much better at this one than I was

Hey, I hope you don't mind me commenting on your video again with regards to your voice again. Feel free to delete or tell me to go away if you want lol. For context, I used to be a professional broadcast commentator, for 5+ years and have experience on using your voice to get the most out of what you want to say, how you want to say it etc. Ive also had voice coach lessons which helped a lot. Anyway... On a positive note, theres definitely an improvement in the speed of your voice! However, it seems that as you get further into a sentence your speed increases more while maintaining a similar tone. This gives off a vibe of "dont worry about what im saying right now, its not important". I also think you could do with re-recording some parts where you slip up in your pronunciation. Theres more feedback that I could provide if you are interested. Its not anything 'massive' but little changes that I believe could help your videos become far more engaging! Otherwise, will keep supporting! :)

@@cormacwyatt5220 Thanks for the feedback! Since i already made the video for September, it’s also gonna have me talking a bit faster than a usual person. I think it’s a bit better since i’m 90% sure you commented on the last video before i started doing the audio recording segment of the video. I already talk ridiculously fast and have a tendency to listen to stuff in 2x or 2.5x speeds, since i try to fit as much stuff into a day as possible. But in the review for october i need to work on and whatever side videos i work on here soon ill keep my voice stable and maintain a good pace. Thank you again for the feedback it helps!

My guess as to why theres a bridge you can hang from in Bob-omb Battlefield: During the end of development or partway through they made last touches to the layouts of each map to ensure quality and fun. The bridge used is a repurposed part from another map simply with either a different model or texture. I think both of our guesses are good though!

Not sure if I'm getting this mixed up with Beetle Crazy Cup/Beetle Bugging or whatever that game was called in the US or not, for some reason I thought this one, the Adventure Racing got a PC port but that may be the other game I'm thinking of. Beetles showed up in a ton of games but a dedicated Beetle game, that's rare. HSV game is even rarer, outside of dedicated Aussie V8 content, has HSV shown up in its own game aside from that one time? I don't mean like i Forza, I mean no, its own game like this one, yes I am counting it as its own game so there

I have a video on the HSV Version of this game coming out in 12 minutes actually. i’ll have to look into the Pc port if there is one and i’ll probably make a video on that as well, since that’s really interesting
