I am not sure if it is Launchbox or CTC but it would be fantastic if you could give names to the wheels, wall, platform etc. So as an example, I create a skin, and I have done a view for Sega, ZX Spectrum etc. If you could name as such as that it would show up in LB/BB so you know what the view actually is, rather than having to go through them all. Oh while I am at it, that CTC could display arcade cabinets so that they are all in the same row. At the moment, the chosen cabinet is where it should be, but the other cabinets that are not selected are half way up the screen.

the views are named in CTC (bottom middle of the main window) and named exactly as BigBox when switching views. as far as cabinets, i assume you are talking about wheels, the non selected wheel items have a Y position, (so does selected item) you'll have to play with those settings.

I just downloaded this 3.2.4 and my platform views are pretty much blank, the rest as everything else. It does not help newbies when you have things that we do not have. I cannot even work out how to add a background let alone anything else. It is easy for you, but you have people like me that are idiots and we need the basics.

@@communitythemecreator I decided to throw £3.60 at you for Christmas. I can do a lot more than I could yesterday. I did find the start of the tutorial, but really you need to create playlists and have things separated it makes it so much easier for idiots like myself. A lot that I have not worked out, such as custom images, I want all the graphics to be from the theme directory, but it is defaulting to LB folders. I am also trying to do an arcade wall, so I use cabinets and have marquee, video and when scrolling it moves with the cabinet rather than staying on screen and reloading when a new cabinet goes there. I am playing with different views, basic ones just to get a grasp of what to do. I shall see if I can find what I need to know via the video.

Hey, I purchased th 3.2.4 full version but the render custom images is still blanked out. is there something I have done wrong? how to i unlock it? i originally tried the evaluation version and they were all locked as should be . so i got the full version and still locked please help :)

i just downloaded 3.2.4 and its not the evaluation version. The render custom images options will only be grayed out if you havent created a Platform or Game custom image - look at the icons above the "Edit Custom Image" if there are no solid rings then you have not created/defined any custom images.

@@communitythemecreator hey i have created a game marquee and the little circle is solid. the only option in the menu that is still greyed out is the render custom images. works on older versions but not this new one for some reason. anyway i can send a screenshot to show you ?

Some good improvements! Have you seen my message about bumping up audio clips volume a touch? Currently, only way I can get them to match BB sounds files (sound packs) levels is to increase my clips volumes and I always wind up with clipping

I've done a lot with platform audio files and have noticed they are always a bit quieter when used in a CTC published theme, even when max volume is used in CTC. I run everything through Premiere Pro or Audacity to maximize my audio clips before using in CTC. The volume difference in the platform audio clips and say the LB Sound pack clips I do are the same on PC, but when added to CTC and published into a theme, the Platform audio clips are so much quieter. Any chance of adding a booster of some sort??

no can do sorry. Volume goes from 0 (silent) to 1(max) ive tried making it 500 and makes no difference.

While I don't see that happening, it certainly would be nice. The attractmode frontend badly needs more decent looking themes, and a theme creator would certainly help solve that issue

I made a small theme creator it uses python but you basically pick the stuff you want. Then it writes the layout code for you. But its not drag and drop. Would be cool to see@bundangkorea

Would you know why I can publish custom Game views but when I try to publish a custom PlatformWheel view it does not show in Big Box? I copied my config for PlatformWheel1FilterView into 2, 3 and 4 and then published to Big Box. Once in BB, I can switch to every platform view and none of them show my theme. I'm using 3.1.5

No idea based on what you are describing, creating or copy/pasting into a platform view will publish and run just fine for any version 3.1.5 and lower

Im making great advances with my theme (wich will be public once i have it rounded up) but something that gets me a little frustrated is that i cant seem to have images partialy offscreen, like I want some mario gif entering the scene but only half of it. Probably I could make the whole thing animating a jpg but i have halfway solved the other way. Is there any chance to get an image partially offscreen? THANKS!

KZbin is not good for troubleshooting, you should use my Patreon page for this type of inquiry, but what you are looking for is to add animation to the image/.gif, click the jpg, scroll down in the properties to animation and click the assist cog on the right, select move in from the left

@@folcochofo Create a folder within the media folder and then copy your videos to that new folder, you will then be able to select your user defined video and when publishing that theme, the media folder is published along with it

Thank you for tackling the wheel issue. I know it isn't your ideal solution, but at least least I'll be able to update my theme and continue to use the "legacy" rotate wheel. The Pause and Exit stuff will be welcome as well. I'm curious to see what can be done with the transitions section (Theme specific options on the Edit Theme window) at 2:27 of the video. I'm unfamiliar with that. I tried to mimic transitions (if they're what I think they are) on the its not call tate theme.

What a great update and these HLSL effects are going to make for some pretty nice themes. One thing is, im not sure why your videos are being categorized for kids and thus im not getting any notifications when you post a new video, hopefully you can sort this out.
