How about attaching small heat sinks all around the unit?

Useful video! So zoom is a thumb rocker on the right handle, and focus? On the left? I wish you showed one. Is it possible to preset focus/zoom points and then automatically shift to them with a single touch? Are there focusing aids, or the screen is high-res enough to use for focusing?
@urs-trly7 ай бұрын
Broadcast cameras require constant manual focus adjustment. However, there’s a feature on most viewfinders called peaking that makes grabbing focus much easier.

the ssd blocks air flow get ANDYCINE Lunchbox mSATA to SATA Adapter its shorter and will not retrict airflow its a simple convertion you can buy a standard ssd and put it in the ANDYCINE Lunchbox housing and these will make it cooler
@HUSTLMedia8 ай бұрын
actually, that's not it at all. the reason for overheating is using plastic housing , those Samsung 970 SSDs, if you get Angelbird in a metal housing you won't have those issues

Mine did this with turbo cool on. Also the ssd keeps falling out. The worst thing is the blue lips and eyes, noses, etc on my footage

Jeez, the price is so good and the quality is so high and at this time the multi coated lens is the same price. I shoot the 28mm ultron for video and it is smaller with no issues.

In my case, i use Ninja V for recording from an ATEM TV Studio HD switcher for event. Minimum time is 2 hrs/record. Ninja V will overheat after 3hrs, sometime after 4hrs continuous record, and gradually, 1/3 of the screen will glitching and turned off (still recording though), and then the next 2/3 glitching, dimming and then finally just 1/3 of the screen work. This is repeatable and have been the problem since day 1. I am looking to switch to this Andycine SSD enclosure

Greaty video man! Was really interesting to see the process. Is there anywhere where I can see the results? I am really curious what kind of images this camera setup produces.

Thanks for sharing. I live in the Caribbean so I can tell you about hot climate, but I must admit I don't have that much issue with overheating on my Ninja V. I too have the plastic caddy as well as two Angelbird metal SSD, but I recently purchased the "Andycine Lunchbox" and these are (I hate this overused word..but..) game changers. But what I really like about them is the short/smaller footprint size thus allowing ventilation for the back vents of the Ninja V. So I would highly recommend looking into it on youtube and reviews online. Cheers and keep up the good work.

If the metal case is warmer than the air, which it will be, then it is helping the unit to shed heat. This is a good thing, not a problem.
