I can’t get over how much alike and similarities in life path that I can identify with . 😢 we have the same spirit and life paths but in alternate universes . I love that .. I identify as spiritual person , having been indoctrinated into the Catholic Church as a baby and by age 10 I realized I didn’t agree with all the teachings and more importantly I did not like the leaders did not practice what they preached what they sent the ‘collection tray” to not only make you donate but in doing so it outed the poor amongst god .. we 11 people it total we couldn’t afford to donate and when that tray was sent down the line a certain shame was seen on my parents faces and how it might have looked when that tray came up short at the end of service .. and yet no church member seemed to take notice as to step in and offer help to the immigrants .. on a personal level it has caused growth and complete understanding of all the situations offered to us as a family but knew it wasn’t being administrated properly or mindfully . Call me anytime Gail you have a great Spirit and yes laughter is the way I deal with my life stresses .. serving is also similar to my mindset looking after the Fraser River I also identify with I have great history and love affair with restoration of marsh lands and removing wood debris generated by Forestry sector In BC .. we used to recycle into pulp but stopped doing that when the Port North Fraser was amalgamated with Port Vancouver authorities . This does not help the North Arm area it was abandoned once again .. I’m still there tho .. determined since the late 80’s - till today .. in the job both volunteers and paid contracts . Saltwater natural marshes should take priority over the fresh water man - made or Human constructed I prefer .. more work needs done especially for our wild salmon stocks they are dwindling due to fish farm frankenfish that are killing the eco systems for the wild salmon survival .! Don’t get me started on DFO 💋☘️✌️❤️

I had the pleasure of taking one of Dr. Perley's classes at UBC in the fall of 2021. I can say, without hesitation, that it was the greatest and most important class I've taken in my undergraduate degree. Dr. Perley is a talented lecturer, teacher, and wonderful person.

hahaha this guy is the dumbest prof I've EVER had, frequently uses fancy hegel terminologies to cover up his low intelligence. I took philosophy as a minor and he really is a disgrace to the industry, students were dropping out and booing him after a few lectures.

2 lovely stories beautifully woven together by the narrator's own art and inspiration from well known paintings, detailed memories well treasured.

Beautifully executed! I was completely captivated by the soft voice of the storyteller, the lovely watercolour paintings, the story of Christmas in Kenya and the lovely other artists whose work appeared as "honoured guests". An exquisite piece!

The content of this is great, with lots of different examples of journals and ideas to get the creative juices going. However the music was very distracting. I likely would not tune into another video if it has music going all through it.

This is awesome. I've taken courses with Dr. Taubeneck. By chance, is the entire interview without editing available? I would love to listen to the whole thing

@@vancouverartscolloquiumsoc2091 can I ask if that is still available? Dr Taubeneck is a former professor of mine when I was a philosophy student back in 2009. He had such an impact on my life and way of thinking I'm so glad he's still teaching and doing interviews.
