Huge fan of Jojo since his Q 106 days in San Diego. My favorite radio station of all time. They had the best lineup Murphy and McKeever Anita Rush Chuck Cannon JoJo Kincaid Chio the Hitman 🔥🔥🔥

Leuk, ik was daar ooit in de studio - helaas toen geen video gemaakt. Wel door Ab Trik - de toenmalige directeur van SkyRadio aan de iPhone geraakt. De zoon van Klaas Vaak had die iPhone (3? 4?) voor Ab geconfigureerd. Zat ik daar met m’n Sony Experia (?) klaptelefoon. Die kon ook alles - maar niet heus…

He could have easily worked in Manhattan and lived in Jersey, Westchester or any surrounding borough (or even Long Island) and commuted. He would commute at off hours so he wouldn’t even have to deal with the worst aspects. Granted, SanDiego is as nice as it gets, so I understand, but the idea of having to move his family to the city is a mistake.

I love hearing from guys like this who really hit in big in the biz. God bless 'em man...always happy they got their paydays. I'm in the latter stages of of my career...had a "nice" career on the air, worked in some really good medium mkts for some really good stations & made decent money, nothing special. I've been a Prod Director for the past 10 years, and seein' JoJo on the air really makes me want to get back behind the mic on-air before I retire :)

The time was at 5:00 pm and I was driving in the freeway interstate 8 right about El Cajon blvd when this transmission was happening , friday party friday party and working for the weekend start playig in the radio. I heard it live. This was in San Diego Ca

I'm not in the states but I used to get tapes in the mail of US Fm stations back in the 80's. It surprises me that the radio market still can hold Fm stations like this cause I thought the whole industry got over saturated over there many years ago. It's amazing that there's still a market. In my country they turned off the Fm network a couple of years back and it's all DAB now - and it's terrible! JoJo seems like an authentic oldskool RJ with a passion for broadcasting, as he ended this interview by saying, passion is a crucial energy generator. Obviously a drive he still has. Great to see him alive and kicking.

Fantastic interview....I had never even heard of Jo Jo Kincaid,till i came across these air check vids.....What a truly brilliant presenter,going back all those years...and such an interesting life story in radio.Coming from the UK,my radio hero has always been "Tony Blackburn"....a radio legend in his own right.Gotta say,its been so interesting hearing some of these American presenters for the very first time...including Jo Jo Kincaid....Better late than never i guess.....Thanks again ..Great interview....Really enjoyed it

I remember listening to Jo Jo on KKLQ Q106 back in the day I loved this guy and seeing this and these airchecks makes me relive my child hood so awesome to see and hear this again great interview
