The only part of the wafer paper that touches the cake is the border. I delivered a cake on Saturday morning and they followed my label instructions and didn’t refrigerate it. They burned it around 6pm that night with no issues

I would make the base of it before but I don’t decorate it that early because the wafer paper can’t be refrigerated and will mess up.

Hi! No I wouldn’t suggest regular paper at all because it’s not edible. The burn is controlled with rice paper and I’m afraid with regular paper, you may set the whole cake on fire
