Hi Matt, as someone who currently works in the Midlands and has considered London-based roles, I'd be interested to get your opinion on whether financially it's worthwhile after you factor in £40-£50+ train tickets at peak times a few times a week.

@@mrgrg4753 great question, honestly depends how much money is on offer. If you earn more than the cost and the opportunity is what you want as a next step in your career then do it. I also found that by going to London helped me level up. When you’re around people who all want to do the best they can it helps push you along.

Hey Matt, what's your honest opinion on the value of commuting in? I noticed all the bits you filmed are video calls which could have been done remotely. Was there other stuff that required a presence? I used to commute daily to my office in Farringdon, but we gave up the lease and now all work from home.

Thanks for your great question. I had to meet with a couple of my tech guys about a project which could only really be done in person. I also like the change of scenery, I get cabin fever if I work from home all day every day. If find by going to the office it helps builds relationships with other colleagues to help me do my job. I’m not technical and need SE’s and SA’s to respond to clients. I have just filmed a pros and cons video about going to the office. Be out next week
