Seeing these athletes who are excellent ambassadors for their sport is so refreshing in this crazy world. And very proud to be Canadian. Congratulations on all you have accomplished at your young age and will continue to follow your throwing career.

I am also Javelin thrower. I like Thomas rohler very much as he is a great Javelin thrower i.e. more than 90 meters distance. He is a good disciplined person. My hearty congratulations to Mr. Thomas rohler.

If you throw 50 m by this technique - will be very difficult to change it to throw 60 +.

Completely wrong: wrong position of loo and high points and wrong movements to finish turn !

How about adding some constructive reasons and evidence for your assertions!? Otherwise, who's going to pay the slightest bit of attention to your drive by sniping, especially to a sweeping statement like "completely wrong" that lacks all credibility?

Some said its gonna be long before somebody throws 6 22's. Well, Ryan Crouser did three 23's and three 22's which were close to 23. The level in sports is changing.

Main thing I learned: if you think you’re good to come back from an injury (specifically as a young athlete), take another week. There is no rush to get back. You only have one body, take care of it.

Many coaches talk say "stay grounded", but if you realy do it, you should finish in double support, and obviously is not the case. So, what ďo you really mean?
@martin_maric
@martin_maric Жыл бұрын
Staying grounded in the finish will give the thrower the most push on the shot, that is always the ideal a thrower will strive fore.

I know im late but dont be too eager to come up off the ground with your fret or comtinue rotating too quick, you want both feet on the ground when you make the final push to throw the shot. I've seen a lot of people focus too much on rotating through the throw and they end up not keeping both feet firmly on the ground and it saps your power through the finish

Great interview - both good topic selection and clear answers. Huge respect for how Frantz has achieved such longevity. On your topic of how we can improve the popularity of the throws is we could copy what F1 and Netflix did with Drive to Survive. A show that goes through how everything works, some of the history, but mainly introducing and following the current athletes through the current season. At the moment most athletes already have some social media, but casual / potential fans are never going to come across them, so having something more entry level to get people to care enough to tune into meets is part of what's missing. For example, the classic story line of following an older athlete and younger one prepare in totally different ways for a big meet and seeing them clash. Obviously has some downsides too (over-dramatized, not "pure", cost, etc) Thanks again, appreciate the interviews :)
