Gloria, that was THE BEST I've ever heard you play, especially with a song we've never practiced, you learned in the moment (we call it a "live learn"), and you killed it!! Remember, *that's* why we do what we do! Cause guess what?? Once you have the skill, you have it for life! You've overcome a lot, and drums, music, the joy it brings you, and my mentorship will always be there for you despite whatever may happen in life! You're a great adolescent, student, and musician! I like it but it is kind of complicated if I want to put it on a non mapex restoration drum that is 22"x16" 8 LUG because they seem to only sell a 22x18 10 lug or a 20x16 8 Lug. Even if I had one of each, not sure I could make it work. I also image the 4 lugs will create deep wood impressions from the weight of the toms after a while, but for me it's a steel kick drum so I don't have to worry about that.

@stickybandit2346 yeah, you're 100% right. If getting ANYTHING other than a Mapex aftermarket part FOR a Mapex kit/drum, do NOT get the Mapex kit and try to force it onto another virgin bass drum (unless you know what you're doing, and it sounds like you do). For instance, DW also makes one, but you have to drill 2 tiny holes into the bass drum for the mount. Sure, you can get any part to fit anything if you're savvy enough. But, I'd do more research and get a part made specifically for that virgin drum. Good thinking though!
