I never payed attention to achievements until I started playing marvel rivals. When nobody on my friends list were online or available to play I just started trying the achievements. It kind of tricked me into learning more about the game and different characters. I’m sure it’d be the same for games with a campaign as well. Maybe side missions or activity rabbit holes I never went down when I beat a game. Like you said, it’s like a game within the game

Why do SOME people, a dying breed I might add, care about the Top2000? We'll never know.. it's the same thing most years anyway.. Edit: I know of nobody in their right mind who actually wakes up for it, or in general doesn't have anything better to do.

@@Sylfege I do wish it would become tradition to vote something else for number one, similar to the UK, where the number 1 song during Christmas time is national news. But I'm afraid the tradition of voting for bohemian rhapsody is so embedded in the Top2000 it will probably never go away... Nowadays, the youngest people voting for the Top2000 know Bohemian rhapsody as the #1 song their entire lives.

I ve never actually seen any Final Destinations and even I am anxious driving behind trucks with logs on it hahaha. Its like a collective memory for a certain generation hahaha (love the cat BONK at the beginning😂)

Yeah I like to think that matt Reeves the batman is a sequel to seven because they did say when making the movie that they took inspiration from seven now I'm not trying to say they are in the same universe it could be a spiritual sequel to seven but if it were to be set in the same universe then I don't see why not because they never say the name of the city in seven so we could say it's Gotham
@Sylfege2 ай бұрын
That's a very interesting connection. You're right, The Batman has that same sort of gritty aesthetic and depressing vibe Seven also had...damn, now I want to rewatch The Batman haha

Misery still kinda haunts me to this day. i first saw it on TV, with no prior knowledge of what film it was, nor of the Stephen King novel - which i guess made my viewing experience a lot more impactful, maybe.
@Sylfege2 ай бұрын
Oh yes, Misery was super scary the first time I saw it. To this day I still automatically close my eyes when she starts swinging the sledgehammer. I think what may have contributed to Misery's impact in your case is that the first 15-20 mins of the movie don't really tell you what type of movie it's going to be, as in there are no clues to the genre. Annie seems a bit much, but we're following Paul's POV and have no reason to doubt her and then when she comes into his room in the middle of the night and goes off on him, it's terrifying.

Damn I thought I was watching a big channel! Great video! (btw I loved Longlegs and was scared shitless)
@Sylfege2 ай бұрын
Thank you, that's a huge compliment! :) Out of curiosity, what did you think was scariest about Longlegs? And how much did you know about it before going in?
@ezzz6662 ай бұрын
@@Sylfege Honestly I don't watch trailers, some of the promotional stuff was inescapable since I use twitter a lot, and I watched it pretty late so there were already some images from the movie (wich I tried to scroll as fast as I could). Apart from that, I knew it was kinda investigation-serial killer (silence of the lambs, etc), so that was enough for me to want to see it, as you said. I also loved the aesthetic of the poster and the lettering. As for the first question, I love horror movies but I'm a coward, so it doesn't really takes much to scare me. But it was like a constant dread, I didn't know where the movie was going to take me next, I couldn't relax at any point (that's a lie, cause I also found it pretty funny at times). So yeah, I would say, apart from the scares, the atmosphere and the originality of Longlegs himself.
@Sylfege2 ай бұрын
@@ezzz666 Oh yes, twitter was a total minefield of untagged spoilers from the moment the movie hit theaters. Glad it didn't ruin the experience for you. I think you're spot on with the constant dread/not knowing what would happen next comment. Longlegs pulled off the eerie vibe so well and the slow cinematography and editing really contributed to that imo. And yes, the funny moments live rent free in my mind haha.
