If the participant pays for part of travel in a different currency then euros, how should I convert the amount to euros?
@ErasmusYouthAcademy Жыл бұрын
You can use the official rate of your Central National bank or the bank you have account in. Please consider the rate of reimbursement month/day (yes, there can be fluctuations compared to the date of buying a ticket). There is no strict guidance here.

If the participant is coming from an island, let's say Mallorca to France, If they use the plane only from the island to the continent, is it still green travel?
@ErasmusYouthAcademy Жыл бұрын
No-no, EU considers the whole trip and unfortunately, if you're coming from an island by plane, it won't be seen as a green travel

@@ErasmusYouthAcademy A friend was coming from an island and she mentioned the entity accepted the plane as green travel... island to the closest place on the continent, but anyway...

@@prashantifernandakoch3461 I can imagine it was a private decision of the hosting organization 'cause an official guideline is different. Still, take into account there is always an option to discuss a travel plan with organization and find the best way together :)

How much money should the organisation pay for the participant for costs like food and accommodation, if they are using green travel?
@ErasmusYouthAcademy Жыл бұрын
There is no direct answer or guidance to it. This is upon your agreement inside the organization (still, communicate it to participants in advance) but for sure - within a green travel limit.
@prashantifernandakoch3461 Жыл бұрын
@@ErasmusYouthAcademy Right, but we can request Erasmus to fund 2 days travel to arrive and 2 days travel to departure... The person will just arrive on the arrival day, so there is at least one extra day there to justify....
@ErasmusYouthAcademy Жыл бұрын
@@prashantifernandakoch3461 yes, you can plan it in advance, apply for 2 travel days extra and use individual support which will be allocated for these 2 days. In this case you can offer a bigger travel budget: green travel + 2 days of individual support according to E+ Guide unit cost.

What kind of budget category applies for some organisations that pay for some other expenses then the transportation itself while the participant is able to do a green travel? Here I mean: food and accommodation, basically.
@ErasmusYouthAcademy Жыл бұрын
Food & accommodation, if they need to stop overnight etc. Plus, traditionally travel budget covers fuel bills and pay tolls.

Can a participant go alone by car? Or do they need to have more participants in the same car? Some people say it is not possible to travel alone, but the guide does not mention it!
@ErasmusYouthAcademy Жыл бұрын
Yes, it's possible. Most times organizers encourage a group travel 'cause it makes more sense financially but the Guide doesn't prevent you from traveling alone, as long as you keep gas/tolls receipts & ask for reimbursement within travel limit.

Dear Anna and Julia, thanks a lot for your challenge I didn't really get one thing - you said all the training courses can't be given from adults to young people. Does it mean that being a 30+ youth worker in youth exchanges is not allowed? I mean, if my NGO has age 30+ workers only, we can't host any exchange? Or could you please give more details about this?
@ErasmusYouthAcademy2 жыл бұрын
Hello, I said that youth exchanges cannot be run by adults, but by young people themselves. 30+ youth workers can be facilitators or group leaders. Training courses and other mobilities for youth workers can be organised and run by adult professionals.
