How does it affect the steering when you pull the motor up?

Sometimes I need to raise it to go over shallow water or when I run my anchor trolley to the back it'll get caught in the prop if I don't raise it.

How is the duct seal holding up? I’d like to use this method but would also like to remove the unit for ice fishing. Is it possible to reuse the duct seal mount or would you just buy new duct seal?

Why we should spray paint in the stator before wending?

To insulate the windings from the stator. Prevents the windings from shorting to ground if they wear out and happen to touch the stator.

If you have workshop then winding machine is a must have thing. If you are winding a motor at home, you can just use a wooden board and some nails to make your coils.
