This is bright and beautiful. This is Karen Kaye's solution to using her fabric comfort zone and a design concept to create serenity with bold color. Lots of good advice included.

Can I ask why the steam a seam II instead of a less expensive alternative? Huge price difference to an already expensive item. It raises the cost of a quilt project by a pretty significant amount. And you need a lot of it for many of the quilts. I know I was going to sign up for one of the classes taught by one of your certified instructors. And they insisted on the regular steam a seam, and I have used a more affordable product for a long time now. But. I want my projects to turn out as good as they can be. But the cost of kit and everything for the class was already very high for someone on social security. But I was going to do it anyway. Until I went to buy the steam a seam II. And the class supply list said no substitutes with an exclamation point. The quilt supply list said it needed six yards of the 24 inch which was about 80 dollars on Amazon, and more at local quilt shop. I buy another brand by the bolt to keep costs down. But even buying a roll in a box did not take the price down. So, what does this do differently? Mine is a two sided adhesive. I can stick it and move it around without ironing it first. Then iron once I am happy with the placement of everything. I do want my things to be their best. But 95 dollars for kit, another 30 for pattern, then another 80 for the steam a seam. Then I think we still had to buy pattern ease, which if I remember correctly was another 25 dollars. Plus there was the initial cost of the class in order to bring the teacher in. I wanted to work with a teacher. And totally understand that. My question is why this particular steam a seam product going to do for me that a less expensive product would.

Hi Laura, I just bought one of your patterns in an Etsy shop. Your quilts are magnificent. I hope I’m able to make something half as wonderful as yours. I have only limited experience with quilting but am quite crafty so I’m hoping I can do it! Thank you for the video because I’ve only ever hand stitched a quilt before and I know there are a lot of tools to help make these projects easier but I get overwhelmed when I’m in Joann’s and places like that. So these videos are a Godsend.
