I'm a little confused why you cut 4" and 12" pieces for the ends when you could have just cut the 16" tile in half. Your way creates too many joints and more work. I've only done this once and not an expert by any means but for me I just don't like the look of those 4" tiles. Personal preference I suppose.

Does anyone know if this same hack works to solve the same issue on smaller drawers using medium drawer boxes (10") with small drawer fronts (5")?

How do did you get the track to stay on the wall firmly when the bolts are not going into studs. It seem that the holes you drilled were through the sheetrock and not into studs.

Warning: This won't work on European-size Maximera drawers and drawer fronts. The European high drawers are more than 20cm tall, so won't fit behind a 20cm high drawer "medium" front. The North American market gets slightly different sizes. I don't know about other continents. This does appear to be a good hack with the N. American sizes.

Just what I am looking for, only I am using a high drawer inside a high drawer. Principle however is similar because I am using a medium Utrusta front.

Best video I've found about how to do this. Just redid our counters with Winsonart sheets & bullnose & they came out beautifully thanks to your tips. Was my first time using a router & your advice about moving against the motion of the blade gave me clean edges.

Great video! I'm just about ready to get our laminate glued down. We're also using the Calacatta Marble Formica with the same edging. I've done several of these but never with the crescent edge. I question how the edging is applied to eliminate the use of "putty" to fill in the gaps. I applaud your use of edging around the island. Thanks for the great vid & tips!

Formica has a great how to video on their website for the Ideal Edge. If you can get the front edge cut perfectly at 90 degrees, you won't need the putty. I made the mistake of filing the edge before installing and it created a gap where the top of the edge met the Formica by rounding it slightly. Watch the how to video from Formica and follow the steps and it will line up perfect. Be very careful with the ideal edge as it's razor sharp. www.google.com/search?q=formica+ideal+edge+installation&sxsrf=APwXEdeeDs2OZa7Dvf_Ji4kQsh55GTbNCw%3A1686718751392&source=hp&ei=H0mJZJDLFfqr0PEPpNy-6Ao&iflsig=AOEireoAAAAAZIlXL-9lsKD-V7MxAOJkaJThgCLGlUvJ&oq=formica+ideal+edge&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAEYATIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgYIABAWEB4yBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeMggIABAWEB4QDzIGCAAQFhAeOgcIIxDqAhAnOgcIIxCKBRAnOgQIIxAnOhEILhCABBCxAxCDARDHARDRAzoLCAAQgAQQsQMQgwE6CwguEIAEEMcBENEDOggIABCABBCxAzoLCC4QgAQQsQMQ1AI6EQguEIoFELEDEIMBEMcBENEDOhEILhCABBCxAxDHARDRAxDUAjoLCC4QgAQQxwEQrwE6CwguEIAEELEDEIMBOggILhCABBCxAzoICC4QgAQQ1AI6DgguEIoFELEDEMcBENEDOhQILhCABBCxAxCDARDHARCvARDUAjoFCC4QgAQ6CAgAEIoFEIYDUNkGWKEeYOEraAFwAHgAgAFdiAGSC5IBAjE4mAEAoAEBsAEK&sclient=gws-wiz#kpvalbx=_JkmJZJHGFa630PEPvfCdyA4_36

I would like to instal the tiles in the kitchen as well however I'm not sure how to deal with my window. Your window has window trims installed on all four sides but my window only has the window trim at the bottom side so the left side, right side and the top side don't have window trim, so if Iwant to install the tiles inside the window, do I need to cut the drywall to make room for the tile installation?

My kit came with “robber dowels” aka little styrofoam rolls to place into the groove of the tall pillars to prevent the small panels from sliding around. Was debating on using them until I saw it in your video.

Looks wonderful! I'm doing the exact same thing and using Ideal Edge. I changed the island design from what my builder originally offered and he was going to charge me more than what I would pay for granite for the Formica top. So, now I'm building it myself. I'm having to pay someone to flip the particle board over now that I've build up the edges and underside. Tomorrow I'm applying the laminate. What type of white putty did you use on the seams? I was worried about them showing with the white background. I'm so glad I watched and thanks for the tips! Your entire kitchen looks gorgeous!
