Yup, the stock springs on 4Runners are notoriously soft. I bought the TRD Pro trim because I don't like making vehicle modifications, but even I had to toss the "TRD-tuned" springs for stiffer Eibachs. It made a huge difference. I love the ride now, on and off road.

Rly nice, imho 60k isn't all that bad for what this is. If you have a shop it's an insane advert if you bring it to a lot of events, but even as a particular, this is heading straight for unobtanium status within about a decade, all you gotta do is hold on to it and keep it clean and it's value might very well shot up to the moon.

What is your crankshaft set to when doing this? The manual calls for 60* BTDC to remove timing belt and pulleys, and to remove the cam shafts (section cylinder head removal) it refers to EM-16 timing belt removal at *60 BTDC. If I then set my cam gears to TDC while my crankshaft is still at *60 BTDC that’s obviously a big issue so I’m very confused on this part. 2jz-GE VVTI

7k for brakes . Could have not spent 2k on headlights. Bam saved you 9k in 3 seconds. All jokes aside. Not many people can say they have really built a car to this level. That alone deserves respect. Not many people know the other side of the build where you finished what you started and can now enjoy the fruits of your labor. If you never build another car in your life this experience imho was 100% worth it. You are a smart guy and money will never be an issue. If you would have just bought a 911 or turn key car you would get bored of it and be in a continuous loop of buying the next thing. Instead you have something that will ALWAYS be a point of conversation and engagement anywhere you go that is car related. And that is priceless.

I bought my 1985 380 SL 5 years ago w/ 72,000 miles, and the high idle issue. The replacement electronic box under the dash was the most expensive part I have had to replace at $325. I have changed the accumulator, belts, plugs, wires, distributor cap/ rotor, tires, injector seals, drivers window switch, battery, antenna, driving light bulbs and added a universal stainless steel exhaust with new cat and 02 sensor ( no muffler or resonator required). Cheap enough to maintain, fun to drive, and it sure turns heads with the black pearl over black interior.

Did you have to make any modifications to the engine bay (cutting or welding) to fit the engine and transmission?

No mods needed. In our case we had to open a bit the transmission tunnel bc the size of the automatic. And then minor cuts to route the intercooler and piping

What’s the difference between a VVTI and a Non-VVTI?
@Hxhsjwjdocys4 ай бұрын
One has variable valve timing one doesn’t
@perplexed63594 ай бұрын
@@Hxhsjwjdocys yeah but what is that
@MinkMood4 ай бұрын
@perplexed6359 one has variable timing in the intake side and the other has not. This variable timing allow the engine to have more torque in low mid range and keep the same top end performance. Similar to the Honda VTEC technology

Tal vez la marca o el ancho trata de poner aros anchos 9.5 o 10 y llantas al menos 255 para que tengas buen grip. Te dejo mi página para que veas el mío @gt86_2jz
