Yes it is possible, we have done it in the series Ten Best Bike Rides, but it involves a 500M elevation climb from Tsuen Wan so not an easy bike ride in our book, but possible if you have a good bike.

Hello DJ, I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your passions of nature and exercise. Would be great to see more episodes that feature short walks/hikes. By "short", I am thinking of something that can be done in 1 hour or less by a person with a moderate fitness level in his/her 40 - 50s. They are more feasible for busy people who struggle to get out of their apartments on Sundays
@DJClarkАй бұрын
Thanks for your support. We have a series called Hong Kong Easy Walks you will find on KZbin as well as a book of the same title in all good bookstores. They are not all short, but well suited for those who are looking for something more gentle.

Hi DJ n Jack, your videos r great n helpful. I'm a Malaysian chinese, speak Cantonese but can't read. My heart sank when u fell in the 2nd episode. I felt for u man. I'm going in dec24 n would greatly appreciate some help. I'll probably stay at Holiday Inn n elemen hotels. I've checked the trail maps of fulong, wanlong n thaiwoo. Are there enough green slopes with chair lifts. I know there's a 5km one in wanlong. But I dun see many else. Some are linked to reds n blacks..I can't tell from the maps I found. I'm a Ok green level. Gradients of 15° n below are comfortable. Tqvm.

You should have a great time, all the resorts have a good number of green runs and the reds are not as bad as they sound. If you send us your email through a private message we will send you the pictures we have of the ski resort maps from the five we did.

What's your suggestion on getting internet on your phone during a day trip to Shenzhen?

If you are in Hong Kong then check with your mobile provider if they have a mainland package included or can be bought. This will normally give you the best option.

@@DJClark Thanks for taking time to go through all the processes for installing and using the Apps. How do I get Chinese internet data while I am in the UK so that I can be ease as soon as I arrive in a Chinese airport? Cheers!
@DroneandPhoneАй бұрын
@@LeHa-ct9ds That's a difficult one, you can check to see if your mobile company in the UK has a China plan, if that looks expensive then I suggest getting a sim card at the airport as you arrive. They normally help you install it. Otherwise you will need to go find a mobile shop after you settle down, but in my experience this can use a lot of time as you need to register your passport etc.

@DroneandPhone2 ай бұрын
HI Alanlau4941- thanks for the great feedback! Riding a hardtail is a great way to develop mountain bike skills. Depending on the type of hardtail you ride, all of the off-road trails covered in this series are fine for intermediates. Ho Pui will be fine in the dry season, but parts of Tin Man descent are quite rutted now and you might want to walk sections). Tai Lam Chung and Mui Wo are great choices as is Lamma Island. There are a lot more great trails out there but unfortunately they have yet to be made legal bike routes. Have fun out there.
