Great info: I have the old netgear ac 1900 router and replacing with the new wifi7 RS300. is it just de-install the old one and install the new one with the app and reboot afterwards? Will the new one pickup the same ip address for my devices? Do I need to use cat8 cable on my connections to xfinity cable modem & 16-port netgear hub? Currently using cat 5 cable. will I be able to see my router via iphone 16 outside the 2500ft limit? please advise thanks

I tried using the app. It was never able to find the unit. The app was utterly useless for me. I finally had to connect to one of the ports (not the WAN port) to be able to login to the unit's web interface.

I never use the auto trunking. I also create the DHCP pools for the vlans on the switch. This way you won’t loose DHCP if the switch hosting it goes down. Just use the main interface or CLI.

I have the router and satellite set up mesh system. Upon first initial set up the connect was great, no issues from the router to satellite connection. Pretty much as soon as my free trial for the subscription was up I started having issues. No joke, satellite CONSTANTLY drops connection randomly. Connection is much slower when it is working with packet loss/lagging intermittent. Garbage support service isn’t available since the service expired and I don’t want to spend 150 a year. Fix this shit

Netgear just told me it will cost me at least $199 to be able to change my password for the next three years. I didn’t loose my password. It’s still stored in the netgear app. The router won’t accept it until they “turn on the new security subscription” after I pay hundreds of dollars. What kind of customer service is that?

I'm having issues with this device overheating and turning off during use...It seems to work ok if I remove the battery and leave the cover off and connect it to a power bank, but this is a less than ideal scenario...

I have a Arris S34 modem and when I run my computer straight off the modem I get 1700 speed. When I run my computer off the RAXE 300 router through the modem I get 700 speed. This don't make sense. Using Cat 8 cable.

currently have ATT fiber 1gb speeds and only have the included Fiber Modem/router. I have Ethernet ports around my apartment that give me steady 1k speeds but wifi is hit or miss sometimes. Would this be overkill ? Apt is about 890sqft
