I think the logo is the most beautiful thing ZSSK has ever made. And I actually think red and orange work well together. I agree it does not match the others very well, and overall, the design language is inconsistent, but the logo does not deserve to be hated. Nor should the app btw; the loading screen and ease of use are beautiful, in my opinion-much better than whatever České dráhy has. However, in the end, I don't think it matters, since we often mismatch Czech blue and Slovak red carts anyway. If there will be a redesign, I think we should collaborate with CZ because of this. Which, of course, will probably not happen, and this problem will remain. I think our railway has far more serious problems than a mismatched design language, anyway. Most people don't notice the inconsistent design anyway. All they see is a red train. And it is not a large functional problem like so many others we have. I would like a redesign, but I would be happier to see other issues addressed. With that said, the video was very good in explaing the topic, good job.

Neviem či by ten čierny detail na laminátkach vyzeral dobre, lebo je tam veľa hrán a zasahuje až do žalúzií. Možno by to bolo pekné, možno nie. Jediný spôsob ako to zistiť bude nastriekať jednu laminátku a pozrieť ako to v realite bude vyzerať pod rôznymi uhlami, svetlom, ako to bude vyzerať po nejakom čase prevádzky (rôzne fľaky, stekance vody a pod.).

I love the old paint of Czechoslovak trains. It actually made a lot of sense as well, for example the locomotives were painted based on the type of propulsion they used. Green locomotives used direct current, red used alternating current, and blue ones were able to use both. That seems much better than the souless corporate paint that is used today, where all the trains look the same.

Laminatka just doesn't fit. It was my first impression developed later by my son to "it doesn't fit to ANY modern livery". And so is it. The design was complete and I was confused seeing these black details. Call me boomer if you want but why to fix something completed?

As a slovakian, i can confirm, the trains are a disaster so here is a story: i was on a trip with friends and it was supposted to take 4 hours. the train was 1 and a half hours late, then the train broke down 2 hours in and then we stopped to let other trains with worse delays trough. this made the trip 8 hours and 50 minutes.

Yeah design. That's the main problem of trains in Slovakia... Let me guess. You studied design at university and you are effects over effectivity. We need engineers not designers.

I did study design at a university :D. And yes engineers are needed. The tldr why I think good design would help is: good design makes good marketing, good marketing brings better sales, good design and good brand makes prouder railwayworkers, and therefore better work spirit. For a fraction of the cost. But it cant be done without good overall service. But a good service without good design is unmemorable service.

Black doors and black - you called it boomerang - locomotive front side swoosh are very typical for liveries designed by Railcolordesign. They look really good, and for a short period of time ZSSK had such a livery on locomotive 383 110 as well. One interesting effect about adding black as a contrast is that it makes even very old locomotives look increasingly more modern.

Autor veľmi dobre identifikoval problémy, ako sú zastaraný dizajn, nedostatočná údržba a neergonomické riešenia, ktoré ovplyvňujú pohodlie cestujúcich. Obsah je podaný pútavo a doplnený konkrétnymi príkladmi, čo robí video zrozumiteľným aj pre tých, ktorí nemajú skúsenosti so slovenskými vlakmi. Zároveň je však video aj konštruktívne, pretože poukazuje na možné zlepšenia a inšpirácie zo zahraničia. I've been travelling on the southern slovakian lines for 10 years now, multiple times every week. ZSR, Regiojet, leo express etc. etc. worse and worse companies everytime. The main problem is that there never accounted from the high amount of students travelling on fridays. Since it is completely free for them.

Netusim, preco mi youtube podsunul toto video.. ale ked uz to pozeram, napada mi, ze ked vlaky bezne dennodenne meskaju aj hodinu aj viac, stale nejaky problem, nic nefunguje, ako ma, zmeskas pripoj a potom stojis 2 hodiny v zime na stanici, ked musis cakat na dalsi autobus, alebo eurocity vlak, ktory ide cez slovensko do prahy, vzdy nabere pocas jazdy cez slovensko take meskanie, ze do ceska dojde uz aspon s 30min meskanim (ak nie viac), tak koho vlastne v takej situacii zaujima dizajn vlaku? Asi teba hej, ked si do toho fanatik. Ale bezni ludia maju v pazi. Teda minimalne to, ako to vyzera zvonka, je mi uplne jedno. Hlavne vnutri by to malo byt dobre usporiadane a funkcne. Ak by vsetko fungovalo, ako ma, tak dizajn by mi prisiel ako taka ceresnicka na torte. Ze super, parada, vsetko fachci, podme to urobit este aj pekne. Ale ked vlaky su zadarmo pre mozno 30% populacie a pre nas, co si platime plnu sumu, stoja uplne smiesne peniaze, tak ako by to tu vlastne logicky vobec aj mohlo normalne fungovat? Listok z bratislavy do tatier stoji 16 eur a z ba do kosic necelych 19 eur. Vo finsku uz pred cca 15 rokmi stal listok z helsink do turku (3h jazda) 30 eur. V UK z londyna do cardiffu sme platli pred 17 rokmi az 77 libier.. skoro ma vystrelo pri tych sumach. Ale evidentne, ak ma nieco byt kvalitne a dobre fungovat, tak to nieco stoji a nemoze to byt zadarmo. Kto ma v ba kupenu elektricenku, toho vlak z ba do malaciek stoji 1.20 eur. Ako moze 50km jazda stat 1.20 eur?? Ked sa v tom vlaku vezie 300 ludi, z toho 10 ciganov bez listka, 50 studentov a 40 dochodcov, ake naklady pokryje tych 200 eur (po odratani dph), co zssr zinkasuju za tu cestu? Su z toho vobec v zisku? Nejsu v strate? Prepac, nechcem ta tu hejtovat ani nic, len sa zamyslam nad tym celym, kedze mi youtube kvazi vnutil toto video bez toho, ze by ma to akokolvek zaujimalo. Akurat pred par dnami mi 40min meskal vlak..takze cerstva frustracia 😅 inak, raz v zivote som si kupila listok do 1. triedy s miestenkou a bolo z toho velke gulove, lebo vlak, ktory ma mal doviezt k tomuto vlaku, nevedel zavret dvere, a kym sa to doriesilo a konecne vyrazil, moj vlak s miestenkou v 1.triede bol uz davno prec a dalsi vlak bol vypredany.. necestujem denne vlakom. Ale takmer vzdy, ked cestujem, je nejaky problem. Takze mi je fakt uplne jedno, ci su tie vlaky ruzove s modrymi slonikami alebo cervene s logom coca coly... 😔 ponukni svoj talent niekde, kde ho docenia. Kde vsetko funguje a zaujima ich aj dizajn

Ty si sikovny a nechcem ta nijak negovat. Len davam moj pohlad na vec. Ze napr. ja ako klient zssr si absolutne nezelam, aby zssr pri svojich malych ziskoch vyhadzovalo peniaze na absolutne irelevantne veci, akymi je napr. zmena dizajnu vlakov. Co si ale prajem a na com mi naozaj zalezi je, aby neboli vlaky zadarmo, aby dvihli ceny aspon o trochu a aby radsej zamakali na tom, aby boli kolajnice vsade funkcne, aby vlaky boli funkcne a aby vsetko slapalo, aby vlaky chodili nacas. A ked toto vsetko bude ficat mozu riesit dizajn.
