It's 2019 and I fixed my BCF because of your video. The problem is not totally solved but it's much much better. (I'm still thinking of getting something better though.)

Amazing, just amazing. An absolute shame I missed out on seeing him perform. Could only make it on Sunday instead. The young Aussie bloke who played on stage at around 3pm was a solid drummer. Spotted Thomas sitting just a few seats away from me and gave him the ol' thumbs up. Pretty down to earth sorta bloke.

My favourite Paul Gilbert solo! That swing! Fantastic job - my goal next year is to play this solo as well as you do.

Nice work fella! Wish I could play that well :-)

Thanks for the kind words Gareth! I'm also 5 years late, but I think at this point, you might have turned out to be a better sounding guitarist than I am today (Or was.. back in the day!) It all comes down to focus - so as long as you put your heart and mind to it, you'll be able to do many great things. The fact that you're lurking around KZbin and finding a small number of viewings (this video) sounds like you were headed in the right direction to explore more sonic opportunities. Good luck, and keep rockin' on! (And don't wake the neighbours up - just sharing my experience).

Thanks! I try my best. It's always good to think about "finger tone" and how that should all connect all techniques and expressions together.. Besides that, i think it's just magic!

What daw are you using? i am planning on getting one of these do you recommend them?i'll be using it for mixing .. my two options are this and the presonus Fader port. The downside to the fadoerport is that it only has one fader .. so yea..
@EasyHeat11 жыл бұрын
digging mine, noticed in my old DAW the pots to pan didnt wrk (using the Makie setting), but with prsonus studio one it's all good. use mine at home with EZDrummer and my E-drums for pre-pro. for the price you cant beat it, and since my uncle gave me mine for free. epic win! looking to get another for 16 tracks to work with the two presonus fire pods at the main studio. thanx for the vid tho. if mine start acting weird i know whats up....now if i could only get my L6 flextone 3 to behave. LMFAO!

@bahbuh2 жыл бұрын
Hey! So sorry for the late reply. I'm trying to understand what you mean by "play as well". The neck is super thick, and for speed players, this might be a problem. For me, I got this guitar because it sounded good, and it felt great to play. Also, it fills up an interesting frequency range in the mix (compared to my other guitars which sits on the high notes). Playability, I think it has a learning curve, and the distance of the tone + volume knobs, and the fact that they're inverted as well, might not be useful during live situations when something goes wrong with the mix. There is an assumption where this guitar is meant to always stay at volume = 10.. And I can see/understand why. Out of everything, the stacked single coil humbuckers (DiMarzio Injectors) are great pickups to have live. They're not sharp and trebly, so it might go easy on everyone's ears.. It's an interesting middle ground/compromise, but it's completely up to you on how you want to sound. Overall: great all rounder guitar. Can definitely push the tubes on the amp if needed! :)

Very good! You have the feeling, you have the "hang". Please do not hesitate to take advise from other great guitarists. It is a matter of timing and feeling in the end. Neal Morse is the very master of emotional song writings and, in my opinion, the very best of pop, rock, progressive, metal and feeling that is the heart of contemporary classics. Do keep on your hard work!
@bahbuh2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for your kind words, Johan! Neal Morse is one of my favourite songwriters. He's got such a good control over melodies, and it's amazing. I listen to some of the Spock's Beard stuff, and it's pretty cool to hear that level of sonic arrangement in a non-commercialised music genre. Wished they got a bit more recognition to most studying musicians!
