The sensor is actually a generic 9K ohm at 25 degC thermistor. You can take these out of a wide variety of things for almost free. Wire it up and put it in the ducting somewhere that it bloes cold. ❤

I see that you did not stick the new sensor probe into the evaporator where it should be and, as you said, you just want to bypass the defective one that is already in there. Given that, you could have just simply jumpered pins 3 & 4 and saved money on that new probe and called it a day. Appreciate the video and God bless.

Gonna be getting a powertrain 5.4 3v soon seems like the best option love the 5.4 and plan on doing a lightning build with it or the closest i can.

I went from 0w20 to 5w30 to get more power and less soot in tail pipe. Lucas gas treatment gave me 3 mpg better mileage at 3rd tank of gas. A lube change should get me 19 mpg again! Thin oil is killing rings to appease the green new steal! Imho

Powertrain screwed my buddy he went with them from Fordtekmakuloco liking them and got a bad 5.4 and his main complaint was dealing with them over the issues mainly Cam Phasers and told me to not use them. I am now considering using Jasper even though they have complaints they sell so many engines that the ratio is small for bad vs. good and Jasper is easy to deal with if you get a bad engine or need warranty work. I am also considering Dave;s Auto Center love his KZbin channel. I need a 4.8l for a 2003 GMC Sierra soon. I am still un-decided as of now, but leaning towards Jasper because my mechanic recommends them and has never had a bad engine yet.

Same here, got my 5.4 from powertrain after watching Bryan (Fordtekmakuloko) recommending them. After 500 miles of installation the engine has a rattle noise coming from the chain.

Motor flushes aren't supposed to get rid of engine knocks, it drains out sludge so new oil can flow better and have better lubrication.

I don't know what mileage is on your car. But I can tell you that the suspension is changed after 65,000 km. if you haven't done it, or before you. It’s no surprise that everything is in such a bad state. Just check it every two years. Then the car will always drive like new

I was just thinking the same. My gx 470 i notice when i have my fan on low. My compressor kick off and on every 5 seconds. Then when i have it high more air come through and it takes longer for the evap to cool so my compressor stay on longer. So im going to buy a new sensor and stick the probe inside the foot hose that way it gets some sort of reading instead of ac full blast and freeze my evap. I will try both. You the man.

Hello sir! it's been since 3 years now but I really appreciate your efforts. Please I would like to know how you got to that green connector. I am illiterate concerning cars but I can do things when I know how to get to that specific point where you connected your evap temp sensor. Thanks God bless!!

if you have the same car, al he did was open the glove box and pull it down to the floor. Look for a video how to remove the glove box or dashboard of your car and you will see the steps to get to that green connector.

I just did mine , pull the dash out and replace sensor on mine driveway just use just regular hands tools and screw drivers less than 3 hrs it’s easy anyone can do , doing the bypass your A/c system won’t work property sensor keeps A/c from freezing!

Shouldn't be bad at all. With the help of your video and a few others, I know exactly how I will tackle. thanks again Tom

I’m gunna ask this…I’m a dummy lol but I have the wires and the evap temp sensor. Do I need some type of connectors for the wire towards the evap temp sensor or could I just shove both ends of the wire (unstripped) onto the 2 pieces sticking from the evap temp sensor?

What paint and process did you use to get paint to stick to chrome bumpers? I am interested in doing for my 2008 F150. I already have multiple sprayers including an hvlp similar to what you showed. Any brand of paint and what you did to get it to adhere would be awesome. Thanks and great job on your truck

Question, when you took the car to the dealer did they just say it was the evaporator? I took mine to the dealership and in my invoice it says “partial ac check & leak test performed, Needs evaporator” I have a Ford F-250 and they’re telling me $1900 for the fix 😂 everything seems to be working but the ac is just blowing hot air when it’s cold out it blows fairly cold but that’s cause it’s pulling air in from outside I get that but I’m going to give this sensor thing a try I really hope it works I’d love to not drop 2gs on a truck I’m about to get rid of for a new one but nobody is gonna buy a truck without ac…..

Your AC is cycling because you replaced the evaporative temp sensor but rather than replacing the original, you put a new one which is now located under the glove box? The other bypass method is using a thermsistor but that could have your compressor freeze under certain conditions right? I am curious if you have the evaporative temp sensor under the glove box, will it work the same way as if you replaced the original in the original place?
