I've participated in my first competition on 3 June but I didn't medal and I cried a lot there I quit I'm still practicing a bit but I was kinda still discouraged but I've decided to go back to gymnastics class. I think not winning does not make u a failure. 🥺❤

here’s my lowkey heartbreaking gym story, i have done gymnastics my whole entire life, im 14 and have been doing this sport for 13 years. i had such a drive and passion for this sport, and worked so hard everyday. i had just finished level 5 and the summer working on level 6, backhandsprings on beam broke both my wrists. as many times as the healed, they broke again and again, both of them breaking a total of 3-4 times each. on top of that, my back was pulled and torn up. that was two years ago, and my list of injuries is: broken knee, broken wrists, broken ankles, broken toes, sprained ankles, broken fingers, osgood in my knees, hyperextended and torn elbow ligament, and a horrible black eye. but i work through that every day. because i don’t believe in failing, im doing the best i can because i want to be good. i’m doing it all for the 5 year old me flipping around on the carpet and doing split around the house. all for her.

I really admire how hard they're training to success with gymnastics at their home gyms and then doing really great or excellent on their routines at gymnastic competitions or Olympic gymnastic competitions.

I watch this and think of the crap Simone biles just pulled. What a selfish unsportsmanlike coward. Typical United States entitlement.

Gymnastics in itself is so taxing on the body, and to see these girls go through the pain to get to the Olympics and one thing messes them up is so heartbreaking, as a past gymnast, you work so hard for competition and you beat yourself up if you make the slightest mistake. Years of practices down the drain in seconds, it crushes your heart.

Both my kids are in gymnastics. I tell them to be careful and it's for fun right now. To listen to their teachers and coaches. That if they don't think they can do something yet, don't try it. Rests are okay, and don't push themselves into something or have others push them. If something is hurting, don't continue, and to stop then. That it's okay too to not want to do it anymore.

It is just heart breaking that this happens, some still have to finish hurt, then sit there with there score being shown to everyone. They work so hard for the this and then just that split second mess everything up. My respect for athletes is very high because of all the challenges and things they miss out on be messed up like what happened to these girls

here’s a fact: Shortly after Shelby Hilton was brought into the er after her fall she found out she was already suffering from a brain tumor which caused her to have cancer. If it wasn’t for that fall she wouldn’t have found out as early. Unfortunately she passed away in April of 2019 from the cancer. She was only 25

It’s so heartbreaking to watch all of this💔. Seeing all these girls not just in physical pain, but also having that one chance making it, and then accidentally screwing it up... is just awful 😞. I did gymnastics for about a year, and I had to quit because of it’s difficulties😢. It took away the best thing I loved in life. I give praise to all these girls who’ve worked their hardest to reach this level🙏🏾.

I imagine their life without gymnastics and it's so heartbreaking. I'm a former dancer, but it turned out that I'm incurably ill with several issues. 8 Years ago I had to quit dancing and I will never be able again to dance. It hurts so much and there is no day on which I don't longing to dance again.
