Most metal vocalists decline to softer side projects. This was 10 steps up.

Still loving this song! I remember hearing this song in the 80s when i was 13 on KHJ Los Angeles when 60s music made a big comeback. Loved it then LOVE it still!

The Peavey models were great. Always picked one up to play at the guitar stores. I'll get one eventually. The Ernie Ball models too were great.

We all have low points in our lives...but most of us don't have cameras following us around to catch it for all the world to see. I loved Eddie. Sometimes he pissed me off, but I was a fan of his since that first album. It sucks so bad that he's not here anymore. RIP King

Hard to watch, many of us know people when they were sliding some come back some are not so lucky, so much talent taken off this rock due to that shite I never even tried, everyone told me how great it felt but that’s what kept me away, from a family of musicians I lost 3 cousins to OD and 1 to suicide cause they couldn’t kick it

I saw VH in concert around this time. Eddie was in bad shape. He almost got in a fistfight with Sammy on stage. It was sad, but Eddie still played like the legend he was. Saw him later when Dave rejoined, he looked a lot better. RIP EVH

This is a typical example of using drugs... An amazing musician turns into a junky... End of his life... Luckily he has aged gracefully and passed away with amazing legacies... we miss you Eddie...

I read in the Tone Chaser Book at one Nam show Eddie got so wasted he catatonic and hiding under a table. Sad. He’s still my hero and best rock guitarist.

That sounds like crap. If this is how I had to judge Eddie, I would think he is nothing special at all. But his albums state differently.

guitar won't do any feedback and he's clearly upset over that. STICK WITH THE OLD MARSHALLS AND FRANKENSTRAT, ED!
@TruthSurge4 ай бұрын
haha poor Ed. Even he couldn't play the intro lick to Mean Street. I highly doubt he could play the actual Spanish Fly version from the album. He was a very "in the moment" sort of player. Lots of ad libs and very focused WHEN he was focusing. Plus time and too much uh.... imbibing and so on can just do a number on your memory too. Those dang harmonics aren't jumping out like they did when he recorded that. But then... that's not the same guitar he used nor the same amp, I'm quite sure. MM begged him with $ so he took the deal and pimped MM guitars instead of just using the same ones he used to use which obviously were "good enough".

Song is performed too slow. Something Yes tends to do these days too. Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks have the good flow.

well you know what right, it takes balls to get up in front of a bunch of people wasted and maybe not on it and then try to spark the energy to get to the point of something inspired .thats the process its kind of hit and miss and random .theres no formular.
