Your dashboard will have been valeted and treated with silicone polish to make it shiny. The pad will not stick to this surface until you clean thoroughly with alcohol (IPA solvent spray is best). I use Mammoth adhesive tape which I've found to be excellent

Have had this Parrot kit fitted and is excellent apart from one rather major problem. I have a 2008 ford focus and for some reason the screen will not stay stuck to the dash! Even tried tape that is supposed to hold bricks together but after a few days I come back to the car and find it hanging down again. Any ideas how to mount it into the dash/facia? Many thanks

OK well the Fiscon kit will fit in to your car however the Parrot MKi9000 with a steering wheel control module would be a better kit and £100 cheaper. With the Parrot kit you would have a little microphone up by the interior light but no other dashboard furniture. Control is all voice activated from the factory telephone buttons on the wheel and calling and answering calls is all voice activated with the callers name announced on incoming calls. You also get USB with the Parrot kit too.

If the car has BOSE it can be more tricky. Worse case scenario is its going to cost you around £50 more for an amplifier interface. Some newer Audi's with BOSE we can fit the kit without any additional equipment. You'd need advice from a Parrot approved installer.

Hi, I bought a car with the system 8 already installed and have bought an old cradle that I know is compatible, though as both are second hand i have no instructions! could you explain how to click the cradle into the baseplate like you're doing in this video?I cant see how it works.

@KingsW0od None whatever, you need an SOT 122 for that car

@ThatFoolChrisDailey Yes you can. To play/pause for instance you press a combination of buttons on the steering wheel for example tuning up/down to play and again to pause. Depending on what buttons you have on your steering wheel.

can you control the playback settings with the ipod or the car controls? not the ones on the steering wheel. or do you have to use the remote control?

hey, got a question for ya :) ive got a peugeot 308 2011 with rd4 head unit but no bluetooth, i assume i need an installed bluetooth kit to have the parrot mki unit work? if that's the case, do u know if such a bluetooth unit exits for my car and where i might be able to find it? thx :D
